So far this is definitely my second favorite anime this season. I was originally just watching this because it was fun, but I really think this is my second favorite just after Nisekoi.
The plot setup for this is really well done, especially something that's "coming from a card game." I can't believe people call this a card game anime sometimes. Everyone's open to their own tastes, and regardless of how this comes off, so far I'm liking this MUCH more than Madoka so I'm hoping it continues this trend. This is one of the few short series that I've liked so very much. I don't even mind if it ends up being short, this one actually has a really good story. The amazing music helps too, this has the best music of the season by far. |

I'm certainly enjoying it. Not a series I think is great, but a series that I can just sit back, watch and enjoy.
Not a bad idea to introduce us to these antagonists we met in the first episode. Get a good idea about their motivations and what they are planning. I don't think the idea of uniting the country under one banner to provide stability is a bad thing. At the same time the guy in charge of this is teamed up with a terrible Z/X for the job. Someone that's fine at conquering, but doesn't actually give a damn about the people he's in charge of. He just wants to possess things. Kind of like a kid with a pet. Just wants to have the pet, but doesn't care about maintenance. I'm sure he'd love to cause some rebellions, that way he has more opponents to fight...

That was an unexpected plot twist with Aina. I thought everything was going to be resolved before the fight, but no... |

I never expected the plot to be good.
Poor Aina-chan, she can't even be with whom she loves because of her phobia and we all know not even after 100 years will he or Ayase throw their card devices. And I am disappointed because I thought that before of Audium's appearance maybe we could see one sugoi battle between Alexander and that angel (don't ask how I never remember her name XD) Seriously I just came for the art but the anime was better than expected :3. |

Just caught up and things are turning out very interesting, especially Aina's role. Also the story finally returns to 12/31, so the flashback is now over.
Oh, and that proper OP video from episode 6 onwards is great. No more reused footage and only a bit of static images. |

Anyways, this show is serious enough for us to feel that maybe Aina's fate is on Alexander's hands (most likely be killed or seriously hurt) given the setup of this last episode and how Alexander fights, but Idk if there's room for the possibility of Aina getting her own Z/X (a purified Odium?) after leaving behind her hate. The show, right now, feels more bittersweet than friendship/love beats all.

Well, it isn't your standard card series. The game rules aren't used at all and the number of cards featured isn't exactly the highlight of the series, so that's why we aren't that sure for the actual number of episodes. 48-52 episodes makes sense for all those subplots hanging around
