Have to say best episode for Mahiro and Nyaruko so far. Good job by the mom pushing him and with Nyaruko being smart in holding back her outbursts that date went pretty well. Certainly did all she could at the end there to be clear about her feelings. Mahiro might as well just give it up. Not like he hasn't shown any interest in her so might as well see what happens

Finally got to seeing the episode and I'm really glad things are starting to get better. I felt the energy from Episode one returning this time, and I actually laughed a lot (which didn't happen in the last few eps). The ending was so heartwarming and just the whole latter half of the episode made me feel warm inside and really happy. Although I had to stay up to study and watch this I'm glad I did, my night's been revived with happiness, yay!
This is also the first anime I pre-ordered (or even ordered) a copy of the op and ed single cds, and they're great tunes too.

Warm n happy > cosmic horrors > now you just know shit's about to go down. What're the chances things get very meta and it turns out all the characters (us included )were being misled Saya no Uta style and suddenly we get treated to an almightly blast of mind flaying insanity?

This episode really developed Nyaruko and Mahiro nicely, and he even triggered a flag with Kuuko. I also laughed when Hastur said that Nyaruko's sanchi points dropped to near zero, that cracked me up.

So sanchi eating alien deformations can also lose their sanchi.
