That was unfortunate, but that happened when they were kids in elementary school. Not wise enough to realize the effect of their words or actions, that's normal for kids that age. Coming from an upper class family, Eriri would have likely been taught to maintain an image, maybe that's why she distanced herself. Even to this day, she's still putting up a fake appearance infront of her school mates.

I never liked Eriri much in the first place, so I just loved Tomoya going "off-route" and yelling back at her. Eriri is the tsundere of this harem, and I usually find them really annoying as they can do almost anything (seduction, violence, have a sweet moment) to the protagonist then deny it (often violently) and get away with it. Especially in harem series, where things are stuck at a standstill for a while. Though that's typical in most romantic series too, just the tsundere is often their own worst enemy.
Tomoya is a proud otaku with his own sense of values, he stood by it while Eriri hid her otaku hobby and basically abandoned him, and ruined their relationship. It also puts Tomoya's friendship with that other guy in a new light, as it sounds like he was Tomoya's second otaku friend at school... but that ended badly too. Yet they still somewhat cooperated this episode too. Eriri has already somewhat made up with him, but that's just typical for a harem series. I just like that Tomoya yelled back about his own grievances instead of just the typical scenario of apologizing to the girl for any real or imagined slight, and since this is Megumi's route, Eriri clearly has no romantic chance. It still turned into a rousing motivation speech for Eriri in the end, but while its partially because Tomoya is the regular wimpy/dense protagonist, he also simply doesn't see any of the girls in a romantic light, despite their interest. |

It also irks me when people go on commenting about something and end up throwing a misleading statement while they're at it...
Does it hurt to just dig a little bit about a story in advance? Without spoiling themselves along the way, of course. It's so easy to do... I'm saying this because I've already read a few good posts that had a sort of misleading statements like this one... And it irks me... |

It's weird that at the end of Ep. 9, both Tomoya and Eriri became partners when they hated each other because one of them ditch the other and vice versa. But then again, it's just a tsundere thing!
Meanwhile, when will Blessing Software have a composer as this show has two episodes left? |

Catching up with this series, and I can definitely feel the tension between the characters.
The story revolves around the question "What [romance story] would you like [to write]?" and everything else extends to that, from Tomoya's obsession over making Megumi the "perfect heroine", to the reasons behind Eriri and Utaha joining the circle in spite of their past experiences with Tomoya. By Episode 6, I'm starting to feel that all three characters are starting to push their frustrations towards Megumi. Would they end up making a Frankenstein in the process?

That's a lovely surprise. In my opinion, this show is really really solid, and it pleases me to see that word of mouth is seemingly beginning to go round |

This is the hidden gem of the season I've been looking for. I can't believe it took me 10 weeks to find it, only going by the various artwork of the lovely girls and the high volume 1 BD sales. Utaha is by far the best girl with her biting cynicism, Megumi's deadpan is rapidly winning me over, and even Eriri isn't too bad. And if the special episode is anything to go by, the music girl will also be a fascinating character.
