btw Archer doesn't focus on light and fast weapons. (in fact all his weapons don't weight...)He doesn't have pros and cons when using a weapon. All weapons he summons are famous ones, and once he grabs one he automatically gain the skill needed to wield them. That's a bonus from UBW... If you have done some basic research you'll know there're 7 types of servents who participate in the Holy Grail War...and we distinguish them in classes: Saber Lancer Archer Beserker Rider Caster Assassin And Saber is of the saber class(...really...*sweats*) Of all classes Saber has the best basic affinity: Great magic resistance and instinct with high mana, swift and have no significant weakness, and the most royal servent out of all(least being Caster, who can even kill their own master...) Anyways...to talk about whoose classes doesn't make sense...It's rider...She doesn't use a lance or knight sword like a cavalry/knight do, follows no code of conduct, and worse of all... Spoiler:

I wonder, somewhat, how we managed to move from episode 16 to D&D so effortlessly. Amusing, though. ^_^ Quote:
Not in any formal sense, no. I'm technically a geneticist-in-waiting, and a writer-in-training. Basically, I've spent a large part of the past few years studying both genetic engineering and creative writing/literature. I've pretty much finished the genetics (just wrapping up some molecular bio), and will finish the writing degree next year. History, especially ancient and religious history, has indeed always been an interest of mine - as has the history of the crusades and medieval Europe. And when you write a lot of varied stuff, you tend to build up a relatively... big... grounding in a lot of varied subjects. And studying literature and context of a lot of classical literature helps a lot too. As does (for other things) being a Graeco-Roman history/mythology nut. ^_^ -Andiyar

I do admire your culture. I read quite a lot of classic litterature myself, but not really the medieval litterature which is not so studied even in French class (or some myths/folkloric songs, like "La chanson de Roland" ~ the song of Roland). But I clearly do not know enough about chivalry (I do know more about samurai lol). I see that you're also a Graeco-Roman mythology nut . Good to see. I love this mythology of course (but I always use the Greek names, I'm sure you can guess why). Also, I've read Gilgamesh Epic a month ago. It's pretty much like Homer's Iliad, but older, and from Babylon. I'm sure you'll like this. If you haven't read it already. |

Caster will definitly show her ears though.., probably in the next episode or when she has to deal with a more challenging fight then when she fought Rider. Either way.., I just want my Archer vs Shirou fight and I will be happy |

I was thinking about the differences between the two swords of Saber, Caliburn and Excalibur. If i remember well, Excalibur is the sword of power, and Caliburn the sword of victory, right?
If i'm right, basically Excalibur's hit = massive destruction; Caliburn's hit = instant death/defeat/K.O.? So, in a way, Caliburn is not very different than, let's say, Lancer's Gae Bulg or - even worse - Shiki Tohno [Tsukihime]'s eyes of death (he killed all the Nero Chaos' 666 lives with just one hit). What do you guys think? |

There're two versions about Excalibur and Caliburn
One saying they're the same. Another is saying Excalibur being the sword given to Arthur by the fairy, while Caliburn is the sword which chose the king. Caliburn doesn't = instant death/defeat/K.O. in the anime, it's just another overpowered weapon created by the author to make sure the story follows the way he wants so. Let's say...Excalibur=beam cannon and Caliburn=bug Gae BOlg, don't spell it wrong. Anyways...gae bolg is different. It doesn't pack as much power as either Excalibur or Caliburn. It's just a spear which carries a powerful curse which can twist fate. Who's Shiki Tohno? I don't remember such character in F/SN...? |
