(L) Dragonball Kai: Dragonball Z's 20th Anniversary Recut!!

In the Nintendo Dragonball RPG, covering the Freeza's arc, Piccolo, after fusion with Nail, had a BP (Battle Power) of 320,000.

At the start of the game (Post Vegeta-fight), all the way till the fight with Freeza's, all the BPs of the characters were very consistent with the manga. Vegeta at 18,000. The three henchmen of Freeza in their 20,000, that guy after transformation increased to 40,000+. Even Ginyu was 120,000, Ricoom was 60,000+ etc.

Which is why I am a deep believer of Piccolo's 320,000 at that part of the game, and which is why I had my doubts when Freeza said his second form was a million. I rather believe that 530,000 is the full power of Freeza's final form.

If it'll follow the same path as the manga, then the fusion with Nail should happen at the start of the episode before Vegeta and Freeza have their little collision before Freeza transformed. Somehow i get the feeling that the episode will start of with just that, and the fusion will happen during the episode, or towards the end. Quite tricky how they didn't feature it in the preview. I don't see how all that will fill one episode, so we should see some of second form Freeza in action next week.

You need to take a look at the Daizenshuu power level guide, because a lot of what you listed is incorrect. I know that it lists Piccolo as 800,000 with his weighted clothing on after fusing with Nail. Recoome, Jeice, and Burter, are all 40,000, so there's no way Zarbon after transforming is stronger than them since he's clearly much weaker than they are. Freeza's first form maximum power level is 530,000 (he states this himself in the manga and the anime). His second form is definitely over 1 million, since he not only states that himself, but he massacres everyone with the utmost ease until Piccolo shows up. Beyond that, I know that Freeza's final form at 100% is 120 million (the Daizenshuu states this).

Yeah we should do, and it'll work quite nicely as a cliffhanger, just like it was in the manga. Leaving episode 38 for Gohan going crazy, and the appearance of Piccolo.

you are kidding .. I always thought his final form 50% was 6M and 100% was 12M .. Goku full power after he went SSJ vs Freeza Final Form - 15M .. after he returned Goku SSJ was some 30-40M probably I guess (maybe over 40M before his heart disease struck), Vegeta SSJ was ~25-30M+, but under 40M (those were 17 and 18 .. or maybe he was 40Mish, but lost to 18, cuz he tires and she didn't) .. Piccolo after HTC was the same as 17 - 40M .. not sure about Cell, other then his Perfect form full power (not USSJ) is ~150M-ish and Goku SSJ going all out is 140-150M-ish .. Gohan SSJ was 160M I think, and Trunks USSJ was over that I guess, but he was slow as a slowpoke .. Super Perfect Cell and SSJ2 Gohan should both be 300M .. and it ended in DBZ with SS Vegetto @ ~30-40B I think (probably same for SS Gogeta) and Gohan Buu max was ~15B-ish, cuz he was owned by SS Vegetto

That is incorrect.

Firstly, no power levels are given after Trunks' suppressed power level of 5. That means that any power levels listed for the android saga or later are 100% speculation. Just because a website lists power levels doesn't make it fact.

Furthermore, many people got the 300,000 (for Goku pre-SSJ fighting Freeza), 12,000,000 (Freeza 100%) and 15,000,000 (SSJ Goku vs Freeza) readings from sites that repeated the information on Greg Werner's old site.

It turns out that he translated the power levels for that area of the series incorrectly. Let's look at the actual data book pages.

At any rate, how would someone mistranslate these numbers? Well, this is the way those battle powers are written in Daizenshuu 7:

Goku: 300万
Super Saiya-jin Goku: 1億5000万
Freeza 50%: 6000万
Freeza 100%: 1 億2000万

"万" (man) is the kanji for 10 thousand, while "億" (oku) represents 100 million. So if you do the math, "300 man" is 3 million and "1 oku, 5 thousand man" is 150 million. But it's easy to see how someone not too experienced with the Japanese number system could make a mistake converting them, especially since all the previous battle powers in this section of Daizenshuu 7 are written purely in Arabic numerals, with no kanji or mathematical conversion required. For additional information on the Japanese number system, view the "Battle Powers in the manga" page.

I hope I cleared up any confusion.

Uh, according to that same Daizenshuu, Recoome, Burter and Jeice possess power levels of 65000, 62000 and 63000, respectively, and not 40,000 like you said.

At least, that's what this site says, and it's what I've always used as reference for power level debates:

Look carefully again. The source from which those power levels you listed came from the SNES rpg game, not the Daizenshuu.

Furthermore, those power levels make absolutely no sense either. Jeice reported to Ginyu that Goku defeated Recoome and Burter like they were nothing at all. Later on, when Ginyu sees Goku for himself, he estimates that he would have a power level of 60,000. Obviously, Recoome and Burter had to be significantly below that approximation, otherwise they wouldn't have lost so bad. Ginyu felt that 60,000 would be enough to utterly destroy Recoome and Burter.

Damn, you're right. Completely failed to notice that.

And yeah, I'd always wondered if those power levels were truly correct or not because they totally contradict that estimation from Ginyu. And I'm sure Ginyu knows his boys' power levels better than some SNES game.

Looking at that power chart, I'm surprised normal Goku even lasted that long against 10% Freeza. Or was it 1% Freeza initially when they had a sparring match? Forgot...

Simple, it triples his power.

Goku's base power level when he arrives on Namek = 90,000
Kaioken x2 which he showed Ginyu and Jeice = 180,000
Kaioken x3 would be = 270,000

That's how he was able to fight Freeza for so long, he was using Kaioken x10 and x20 by then.

Kai episode 37 hasn't aired yet but episode 36 covers Z episode 76 and a small bit of episode 77. Kai episode 37 will most likely cover the rest of Z episode 77 and 78.

It's funny that you say that, because the original Dragon Ball had tons of filler also (albeit not as much as Z) and yet you've chosen to watch that in its entirety.
