I loved how they used Mami Kiwada's song "Portamento" fit the couple's theme so well But then after all that... How dare he hold hands with Shana!! He is such a lucky person! Moving along, then we get to see Shana be her usual awesome self

Also at the very ending, for the preview of Season 3.... I have a bad feeling with Shana on a bridge.... If my novel-read mind serves me right...

Those who are looking for action scenes in this episode may be a bit disappointed since they are just later half of this OVA. It is not a problem for me, though.

We just have to bear with it. It is the only way for it to stay aligned with the novels. I can't wait for this scene to be animated.

I know its to keep up with the novels, but when that part gets animated.. Is going to be painful to watch...

i have ONE question and u all made me even more excited about it (i didnt read the novels).

this ova seems to be from before shana met yuji (maybe it is not)
so why is she saying things in the end like "that day we seperated" or "lets meet again yuji"
and what is going to be painful to watch? season 2 ended with her meeting yuji at the end, so what happened after that?
can someone send me a private message about it? (just a short summary plz)

Yes this OVA is before Shana met Yuji, and was her Tsundere self.
If you really wanna spoil yourself to that part, then just read the spoiler below.

Spoiler for Spoiler from Novels:

In the Novels, Yuji was talking to another God-Like being like Alastor known as the Snake of the Festival, or SotF for short. Before Yuji went and chose who he wanted to be with, SotF talked to Yuji and told him a plan that he made up that can bring him closer to whoever he chose. Yuji accepts and leaves the city for awhile (not certain on the time) Shana is getting sorta sad that Yuji is gone, and wonders when he is coming back. Also, the ending of season 2 was still debatable. Shana could have seen an illusion of Yuji, and thought it was him *lighting up her face*.

8/10. Very good episode, but its end leaves out a bit too much context for those of us who haven't read the books. I got the obvious point that the 3rd and 4th episodes were a prequel, but man until Hooves explained it in that spoiler I had no clue what was going on at the end of episode 4.

And are the novels translated in english, perchance? I'm kind of interested in reading them.

Edit: Oh, and before I forget... so there's really gonna be a season 3, eh? Can't wait.

I like a question near the end where Shana is on the highway, looking at the sign to the next destination.

What city odes Yuji live in? is it Misaki? because we can see Oto, followed by Misaki after. I'm just curious of her travel route that eventually meet up with Yuji in the future.

EDIT: Oh nevermind, the end after the ending credits answer it ~.~

The Novels have been translated in English in the Novels thread, but it would take to long to find the exact pages where to start off where Season 2 ended. It would be best to wait for Season 3 if you dont have the time to skim through all the pages of the novels thread to find the translations. But if you do have time, and want to spoil yourself before season 3 is out. Then Novel 16 is where Season 2 left off.

Yeah J.C. Staff is pretty clear on a Season 3 with the ending of OVA 4. I cant wait either

Great episode and lots of emotions run through my mind. I enjoy the last scene and I too dont feel prepared for the opening scene of SnS season 3... well overall, this was a great episode.

Just watched the whole S ovas.

Interesting that in the last part of episode 4 it kinda hints towards an major event that happened in the novel that I read about.(I guess we'll see it in season 3 as well)

When was the exact moment when Ohgami Junko was devoured? Is it before or after the tomogara, Ukobach, approached Hamaguchi Yukio to shoot his photograph? I believe that fuzetsu had been used during that moment.

Just before he went to ask Hamaguchi, I think.
That's why she did not return until Hamaguchi went to find her himself.
