I wonder what made them decide to license it? The manga does seem like the most profitable choice though for a licensing company I have to admit, it's just too bad a bunch of people won't be able to hear the BGMs... yet.

Well, if they take the Higurashi route with releases every other month, or do omnibus releases as they are with the last two, it may only take seven or eight. Which is still a lot, but honestly, the staff aren't superhuman. And the only reason Japan's releases aren't as slow is because multiple Episodes are serialized at once.

I hope they spring for the extra printing costs to put the red text in red.

I'm glad that this happened. I would be on the fence about buying the DEEN anime if it were localized, but I'll be buying this for sure. If they are collecting every 2 volumes per volume, then that means there can only be about 10 or so volumes released here until they hit a dead end where the manga hasn't been fully finished yet, given the dumb way this was released in Japan.

Maybe they'll spend a year giving us Episodes 1-4 manga, take a year or two off while 5-8 finished in Japan, and then go back to localizing it? Unless this isn't going to be released monthly, but bi-monthly, or even less frequently, in which case it'll be 2 or more years until it reaches EP5 anyway, so it might be all good...

I heard Japanese version doesnt have it in red ink... i has it like this : {red} blablabla {red} . I might be wrong tho...

I think they put squiggles next to text that is supposed to be red.

I could see the English release using squiggles, different patterns of underlines, or even different fonts. But probably not red ink.
