North Korea May Take Action to Jolt Economy, Analysts Say
I wonder if this is a sign of change. Their recent desire to talk to Japan did surprised me a bit as well. I doubt something good will come out of this, but I could still hope for it.

They may have found Richard III's grave.

And he was probably a better king than Shakespeare made him out to be (he probably had some powerful enemies).

Yeah, a lot of people mistake Shakespeare's plays for history... he always went for creative drama over facts.

Sort of like in 300 years people will actually believe Nobunaga was a demon lord.

Either her or her (both called Nobunaga):

Seriously, some old literature, normally dismissed as fiction but when closely analyzed, may yield clues about the past. In this way it became possible to discover a hidden treasure trove, lost ruins or an untold story (i.e. Schliemann read the Aeneid and the Iliad for years, then hit paydirt).

Most of all, you have to be disciplined and you have to save, even if you hate our current financial system. Because if you don't save, then you're guaranteed to end up with nothing.

I don't. You forget that I am a chauvanist who believes that women are the property of the men they marry, and there is nothing wrong with that. The problem is with those assholes who don't want to take responsibility and take care of their property, makes us chauvanists look bad.

And there is the retarded gun laws which restrict the ownership of shotguns for the girls' fathers.........

Japan utility: No money to develop renewables

If only there was Tony Stark.

Seriously, it appears that stubbornly TEPCO doesn't want to be bought out by someone else, put under government control, or even a joint venture to revive its flagging fortunes. :|

Pressure in Mount Fuji is now higher than last eruption, warn experts

http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/.../06/mount-fuji

Quote:
The pressure in Mount Fuji's magma chamber is now higher than it was in 1707, the last time the nearly 4,000-metre-high Japanese volcano erupted, causing volcanologists to speculate that a disaster is imminent.

The new readings, taken by the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention, reveal that the pressure is at 1.6 megapascals, nearly 16 times the 0.1 megapascals it takes to trigger an eruption.

That's not good news if any. I hope Japan already have their emergency protocols ready for any possible outcome.

Can they set earth charges around the crater and help the volcano blow off the pressure?

How populated is the area around Fuji?

This sentence is especially disturbing:
Quote:
...the warning sign that pushed the professor to make the announcement, a 34km-long fault was found underneath the volcano. The fault, experts suggested, could indicate a total collapse of the mountainside if there is another significant shift, and it would probably cause a collapse in the event of an eruption, leading to huge mud and landslides. [emphasis mine]

It's actually surprising how Fuji maintained such a perfect cone....collapses are common in strato volcano eruptions...

If the snow melts it'll end up a replay of Nevado del Ruiz
