Episode 1
Hmm, the OP song is okay. Somewhat catchy enough. So we got a story about a normal guy who is affected by this syndrome. There's some awkward scenes but I think the main selling point of the show so far is the mixture of bizarness and normlacy. There's quite a bit of social commentary that I think is worth noting so far. Got some of the other characters introduced already from this episode. Definitely going to have to get used to the way Mai and her personality. I think this has potential.

Episode 1
Male MC has balls and FMC is highly interesting as well
The interaction between the two felt so natural and quite refreshing. The plot seems good at this point. Leave it to EroKing to always pick up the best shows

That was pretty good. Both main characters not freaking out with over the top reactions is a nice breath of fresh air in a high school romance story. And the Male lead isn't an oblivious moron!

Just going off the beginning, as a non-LN reader, it seems like something is going to happen to Sakuta that makes him forget about his encounter with Mai (probably as a result of Adolescent Syndrome), hence the journal chronicling what happened .
I like the Opening. It's catchy, has a nice beat and pace, and the visuals do a solid job of conveying our protagonists life becoming entwined with several girls and the mystery surrounding them. As well as also emphasizing how well our female lead fills out a bunny girl outfit . Man, if there was a chance of running into a stray bunny girl at your local library, more people would probably go to the library . Sakuta and Yuuma discussing the natural reaction to seeing a bunny girl . Sakuta certainly isn't your typical milquetoast male anime lead. He seems uncaring and uninterested in anything but seems to get invested and willing to help someone in need when it counts, and he'll give as good as he gets if someone challenges him. His putting down his buddy's girlfriend for trying to break them apart was pretty awesome . So far I feel our titular Bunny Girl Senpai is developing into a fairly compelling female lead. She's obviously very attractive, but has enough wit and depth to make her more then a pretty face, and self-conscious enough to avoid the typical responses of anime girls. She also seems to really like bunnies, which I guess explains why she eventually came up with the bunny girl idea . I feel Sakuta and Mai have a really good dynamic and banter going, a good mix of mutual teasing and shared understanding that put them on equal footing with one another in their interactions. I don't think it's a kind of dynamic we usually see in anime relationships, at least in the typical romcom genre (and I say this as a fan of the genre). Very much looking forward to seeing how their relationship develops over the course of the series . With how much she got mentioned as someone Sakuta was still hung over about, I'm guessing this Shoko Makinohara character will play some kind of role in Sakuta and Mai's developing relationship . It's kind of weird to have the subs go for "Adolescent Syndrome" when the English titles in the actual show has "Puberty Syndrome" . The Futaba character reminded me of Futaba Sakura from Persona 5, both because of the name and glasses but also because I was honestly reminded a bit of Aoi Yuuki's vocal performance as the character. I wonder if there's any underlying cause for Adolescent Syndrome other then the fact that it just happens to exist and effect people. It almost feels like Kokoro Connect if weird stuff was happening to the cast and Heartseed wasn't around to explain everything . I love how Mai got flustered at Sakuta stripping and called him an exhibitionist when she's the one who came up with the idea of wearing a bunny girl outfit in public to get noticed and admits she doesn't mind young boys having lewd thoughts about her. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black . I wonder what the solution to resolving one's Adolescent Syndrome is. Kaede and Sakuta seemed to resolve it by moving away from social media or media in general, and there's still the question of exactly how far it can effect people if Sakuta could have such a violent reaction from what was going on with Kaede . Sakuta seems to think the way to resolve Mai's issue is by getting her back into acting so people can start to see and recognize her again, but the underlying issue might be why she went on hiatus to begin with and that she was getting tired of people looking at her all the time .

I find it pleasing that MC's male buddy has a GF of his own
However, I do hope she changes her attitude towards the MC, and hope that even if she does, that the MC won't try to steal/NTR her away from his male buddy, as that guy seems like a quite nice buddy for the MC. However, that might not happen, as the MC would probably build a harem for himself including the main bunny girl, Imouto and other female characters without involving his male friend's GF. |

This seems like quite a promising start to this series. There is enough differences and uniqueness that, so far, stands out from the other animes. Hopefully, it can maintain its impression.
Also, I realized that the setting for this seaside town and the train is the same as Nogizaka46's, an extremely popular Japanese idol group, recent music video, which explores the town a lot more. For those who want to see the video, it can be found here: https://streamable.com/yzr12
