Saw the raw episode. Most of the animation inconsistency is dealt away with. I was mostly surprised by NON CGI ARMOR.
Acqua and Knight leader are cool. Kanzaki's asskicking was great, everything was done well and I am very impressed. You can tell that they are working harder now.
Forgot to mention the OST. It was awesome.

Oh my god!
So Knight Leader inside his own territory also stronger than Accelerator?
Kaori, Acqua, and Knight Leader, the Level 5s don't stand a chance.

Too bad for Touma though, he is missing out all the best parts.
Well, his part isn't the worst though.
To think he doesn't know Floris is Lessar's comrade.
I guess Touma will take actions with other New Light members soon.

While Carissa and Knight Leader actions are cruel, I still don't think they are truly bad on the inside.
About how they don't want to caught up in a big clash between Magic and Science.
But really, when I think about it maybe this is one of the few places that really does not have a Dark Side unlike Academy City and Roman Catholics.

So the way Carissa seized control is basically "Muh Bael" except with sword and it works.

As is traditional, yesterday's foe is today's hero. Who would've thought we would cheer for the timely arrival of Aqua?

Index is still in trouble though, and Touma is still preoccupied.

So far Aqua vs Knight Leader is actually being done justice. I liked both the animation and the music for it. I'm also glad that they didn't try to condense it. Hopefully a good sign for things going forward.

I don't know if my memory is hazy or it's the bonus of having a visual medium, but I'm honestly surprised by how entertaining I find New Light to be in the anime.

Curtana Original can harness the power of Michael, the strongest of the archangels. It only works within the U.K for a reason I've forgotten unfortunately, but basically the wielder of Curtana is like Michael and the knights are kind of like angel soldiers within the United Kingdom.
Ok, little wiki search gave me a good memory jog. King Henry the Eighth had established the king as the highest position within Anglican Christianity, claiming himself to be the leader of the angels and the knights being an army of angels. Also used the unification of the 4 lands, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland to form a magical meaning with Earth or something, allowing this power to only be used within the UK.

Thanks for the info, @BladeMancer. So Carissa is the leader of the angels and the knights receives the buff.

Other than that, the fight scenes were improved, I hope it stays like this till the end of the season.

OK, some actions
It was a good fight, but far from best. Goddam it limited time-slot!

After some serious battles, Queen and Laura scene put smile on my face

"You thought it was Xenovia, but it was I, William Orwell..!!" (sorry for DxD joke due to Ascalon)

I can't help but imagining Knight Leader to say "Mudamudamuda" when fighting those two Saints..

So as Brexit arc gains steam we get to see British-Superman Knight Leader fight against Guts-Superman Acqua inna pretty cool fight scene.

Meanwhile, Index is once again getting kidnapped (twice in the same arc), Touma is doing his best Solid Snake impression evading the Knights and two bat shit crazy women try to hitch-hike failing spectacularly at it... Pretty fun episode overall.

It's actually more funnier than I thought it would turn out.

It's been years since I've last read the arc so I'm happen to still get some surprise scenes here and there in a "Oh yeahhhh that was supposed to happen!" even in it's butchered state.

Aerial battle between witches and knights.
Kamijou trying to sneak through all of England.
Kamijou thinking just because he survived jumping into a river in France means all the rivers in Europe are deep.
Kanzaki jobbing badly to another Saint-level opponent.
The Great Escape, by Queen and Bishop.

Kanzaki's middle name must be Worf.

^^Trust me, you still don't know what a jobber in this series is. If anything, Kanzaki is nowhere near to being a jobber, not even close.

Well, when was the last time she faced an opponent that wasn't at a level beyond broken? Knight Leader is the third angel like being she has faced and since Angel Fall arc it has been canonically shown that Angel/Angel like power > Saint. Besides, she won against Acqua in the last arc, sure, she had to have help but that is kind of one of the themes in Raildex and is quite literally the basis of her fighting style.

And that's why she's a Worf. She's used precisely to show some antagonist is stronger than a Saint, who are already supposed to be super-strong.

But can she be a worf when fighting against overpowered characters and getting destroyed by them is kind of the basis for the entire series? Quite literally every character gets an ass beating handed to them at some point for a prolonged amount of time (kind of the reason for a lot of memes within the fanbase about certain characters exist), everyone gets their due in this series (heck, after losing to Touma, Accelerator got shot in the head and crippled and then got owned by a Kihara all back to back).

Just because she is losing right now to opponents that have power sets that easily trump her does not mean she is jobbing, she is just realistically losing to a clearly superior foe. Angel Fall arc let us know that a Saint on the level of Kanzaki can't defeat an Angel like being an so far the only time we have seen that she has lost is against goes with that exact same capability.

If Kamachi wanted a true Worf character he would have had Acqua be the one to lose to Knight Leader to set an example since we already knew that he was stronger than Kanzaki and that she could not stop an angel like foe.

A character CAN lose multiple times without the need to be classified as a certain trope.
