Just watched the raw for the third OAV, didn't get all of the dialogue, but enough of it to understand this:
1)Despite her smoking and drinking, Nobue would make a great home maker; really good with kids, drives like Initial D. 2)One day, Miyu will attempt to Higurashi(verb) Matsuri.

Hmmm, the project status for the fansubbers who did OVA 1 & 2 is:
Episode Status 1 OUT! 2 OUT! 3 Raw/ISO got No "last updated" dates on the status. Their IRC channel appears down so I can't check their topic status there. ... so anyone heard from them in a while?

I actually keep a small whiteboard by my desk with "incoming episodes" to periodically watch for.... some of them have gotten VERY old (months and months).
The bad part about waiting is that once its clear the subbing has disbanded/dropped/vaporized --- its usually too late to find the raw without hours of digging.

Why so mysterious? The OVA isn't licensed.
There are two groups having done OVA 1+2, ( one group and a joint to be exact) And animeyuki says "Episode 3 is in later stage of production too, hopefully we will be able to bring it out soon." anidb also lists a group "For the Emperor" who claims to have done Ep 3 already.

<shrug> its listed in the torrent section and I was lazy
I was reading off of the Hoshi ga Mitsu site. Hmmm, sounds like animeyuki is in about the same state? Hmm...never heard of "For the Emperor" but I'll browse a bit and see if I spot a torrent for them.

OVA 3
I didn't think much of that at all, to be honest. A couple of funny moments, but most of it was rather boring. As usual, Miu saves the day. At the end of the day, I don't think I'm going to miss this franchise all that much.

OVA 3: Hmmm, I found it soothing and relaxing.... so yeah, it wasn't a comedy deluxe so much as an "everyday life" sort of thing.
The details on the artwork were extra nice --- I'll tag it as just a pleasant adieu to the characters. They're all about to grow up and there's not much else to say for that fleeing moment in life that was presented by the series and the OVAs.

Awww its finally over hun...Well atleast it went out in a nice fashion. The later part had a very aria feel to it. I actually caught myself mumbling "embarrassing comments are prohibited" after nobue gave her little speech.
Overall its been an absolutely adorable show true to the equally cute manga.

I'll miss this series. Even though the OVAs doesn't have the essense of the original, it brought back memories of Ichigo Mashimaro and how it's such a lighthearted comedy with cute characters. I really liked the last scene though in the clearing. It's so nostalgic and to me, it ended the series nicely and properly.

I actually never miss any series -- there are always more to come, and I can go back and watch the ones I like again. Like Ichigo Mashimaro, my all-time favorite anime comedy. The OVAs were almost as good as the original show.

Usually most of my favorite series end with a final tone that resolves everything such as KimiNozo, Haibane Renmei, CCS (second movie) so there isn't much to miss. This anime end with a nostalgic moment together without a clear path of what will happen to them next, so that's why I will indeed miss it.
