(L) Shokugeki no Soma [Manga]

I wonder if Souma will ever experience defeat. He may be the main protagonist but I think he should lose at some point though maybe not resulting him from getting expelled. Some of life's best lesson are often learned from failures.

i predict he will lose to one of the top 10 of the academy. Even erina could finish serving the dish more faster than souma could do. (erina has already finished taking the bath hotspring after souma finished his dinner service)
By the way, he always experience defeat in the hand of his father, does this count as defeat too?

One-shot is something the mangaka did for interest-check? Cos if the one-shot is not successful, the mangaka will draw/write anything along that line.

Oh shit this is going to be good. I am really glad that the author is now willing to give other character (the fact that it is Megumi is plus) spotlight instead of just Soma.

As nice of character Soma is I hate over portrayal of the mc. The biggest problem I had with manga like Yakitate was always putting the mc in the spotlight at the expense of others

From what I've seen so far Tootsuki seems more like a Sith Academy

They don't really teach you anything. They just weed out those belong and those who don't

but just like the Sith Academy, there's actually a lot of luck and other factors involved. So the last person standing isn't necessarily the one who has say.. 99 points in every stats.

If he loses to the protagonist it doesn't mean the instructor is weak. It just means that the main character is even more of a special snowflake.
