Well, this was inevitable.
I'm curious as to who they'll get to score it... I'll laugh if it's Sawano.

Still, while it's cool that we're getting the anime for part 3, I'm still more interested in checking out the anime version of parts 4 and beyond.....

While I'm certainly happy for this, I'm not quite as excited for it as I probably should be considering we still have the Stardust Crusaders OVA series from the 90's, so an animated version of this part isn't anything new. The upside though is that it'll likely be two cours, thus they'll be able to cover more parts of the original manga unlike the OVA's did.

So I'm with Marvel on this one. I'm glad, but I'm looking more forward to animated versions of Part 4 and beyond.~

Best JoJo was over, but more JoJo is never a bad thing! Bring it on!

Though I'm worried about the length. It's gonna be tight even with 24 eps.

Stardust Crusaders is a very "enemy of the week" formula. They'd probably do a single Stand battle per episode. Perhaps two on occasion.

Spoiler for Main enemy spoilers:

I kind of figured it'd be common knowledge on the internet considering the very well-known meme about it, but fair enough. I tagged it.

Not sure, but the 12/22 date thingie in fertygo's pic might be an important date for Jojobros.

Stardust Crusaders OVA series was a crappy adaptation that completely missed the eccentric spirit of the original and took itself very seriously, making Jojo appear like your average shonen anime.
This looks great,I am very glad that they kept the same director but I just hope this will be 3 cours otherwise it would be impossible to adapt the entirety of the manga.

I wouldn't bank on it, because its not midnight clock.. apparently its referring to some kind of event.

For 2000's OVA I Can agree, but 90's OVA was fantastic and involving legend like Satoshi Kon and Mitsuo Iso. The last 2 episode was fantastic. I hope its get blu-ray re-release.

The 1990s OAV really took off with the third OAV. That is to me the best thing about it. Now I wonder who will replace Kenji Utsumi for that one. Jouji Nakata would make a convincing replacement.

2 cours should be alright. They can easily shorten or even skip some of the battles. In fact, that would probably be for the best.

Stardust Crusaders is being released again in my country so I've been re-reading it as I buy it, and I have to say it's not as great as I remember. If you take away the fact it was the part that introduced the very novel concept of stands, it's one of the weakest part of Jojo imo. The story is straightforward and progresses extremely slowly, the monster of the week format gets old really fast, and the fights are not as creative as the ones from later parts. It's still good but it has a lot of flaws. I'm more interested in seeing part 4 and beyond animated.
