Sure hope this is done right, as the Prince of Persia games are one of my favorite game series. I did know about this a few months ago and after looking up behind the scenes videos I wasn't to pleased. Of course I won't judge until the actual movie itself come sout.

Let me start off by saying that I've been a hardcore fan of all the Prince of Persia games since before I could even talk. That being said, when Sands of Time came out for the PS2, I thought I was going to die out of sheer joy. Seeing one of my favorite game heroes in 3d was like a dream come true, and I was all the more happy with the releases of "Warrior Within" and "The Two Thrones," games that will always remain in my heart.
Having said this, let me inform you that you should all brace yourselves for a horrible disappointment. For as long as Prince of Persia existed, starting from the very first game for PC, not once was his actual name mentioned. You KNOW something's wrong when the Prince is named Dastan! You KNOW something is wrong when the princess's name is Tamina when it should be FARAH, or when the King of Persia's name is Nizam when it should be SHARAMAN! I just hope they don't make a sequel from this movie and title it Warrior Within because if they do, I'm really gonna smack a b***. Disney should stop getting its hands on things that are too big for it to bite. Prince of Persia ain't Aladdin, guys! Seriously! It took over Marvel, which really felt like a slap in the face, and I sure as hell hope it's not gonna get its hands involved in the production of other games related to the Prince. I won't forget the horrible and most overrated rip-off of Final Fantasy anyone's ever made. All in all, while I will probably end up seeing this movie just to see how bad they made it, my expectations are at rock bottom. At least the movie promises to be better than Dragonball Evolution, considering it's remaining _somewhat_ loyal to the game's plot. |

"What the hell" is what i thought when I saw commercials for POTC
Then, boom! Great movie~ Toss the popcorn in the air! Hoorah! Hopefully they can make this movie as much of a success as they did with POTC. and hopefully they don't cut too much from the story. |

It looks good. I mean yeah, video game movie, but there have to be one good movie adaptation at least. Maybe it'll good. Not that I have a really good taste, I enjoy movies like Independence Day, and Battlefield Earth is still one of my favorites (but I hate those things like Disaster Movie, or this new grown idiotic stuffs, of course, I'm not stupid).

Wow! Nice trailer! So excited and can't wait to see the movie. It's one of my favorite game in PSP and i can't believe it's in the big screen now. I think Jake Glylenhaal did a amazing portrayal. He's so hot and perfect for the movie. I'm gonna watch it on it's first showing date.

- The Prince has a name.
- The Princess is not named Farah. - The Vizier is not named Zervan. - The King is not named Sharaman. - The plot seemes inconsistent with the three games when you consider the Dark Prince makes an appearance and that he is not quite as dark as he appeared in the game.* - Where is Kaihleena???? - WHERE THE FUCK IS THE DAHAKA? * I'm especially upset about the Dark Prince because apart from the Dahaka, he is in fact my favorite character in the whole series, much less the last game itself. He made "The Two Thrones" as great a game as it is. I have sad, sad hopes for this movie. |

I've never even heard of this game and Disney's making it into a movie? That can't possibly end well.
... And when I say that, I mean I haven't played the game myself, but I've looked it up on Wikipedia and other sites and more or less have an idea of who is who and how the plot is supposed to go. Still, looks like they made a lot of changes to it... and if someone like me can tell, I can only imagine how the fans will react.

Although it's true that the only movie based on a videogame who was good has been "Silent Hill", perhaps we should wait to see the movie coming out instead of being so... negative.
