Just got a controller.. O.o How the hell do you guys play this game so well. When I declare meta , I need like 10 seconds to actiave the damn special. O.o But I have seen videos when they do it at a perfect time. Howww XDDD And normal specials too , I can't do them fast enough to continue the combo.

I still can't do them fast enough. Even after some serious training. . Spamming the buttons doesn't works too, raping the buttons does but only on Berkastel lol .I can do that damn special only with Bernkastel , which is probably the easiest one to pull off

I use a 3rd Party Xbox controller when I play, so button layout might be slightly different, but as a reference:
A - A B - B X - C Y - Touch Left Bumper - AB Macro Right Bumper - BC Macro Click Left Thumbstick - ABC Macro Click Right Thumbstick - Menu/Pause I don't use the taunt key, but its on the Back button. This setup only really works if you are using the thumbstick though, if you use the D-Pad it will make using meta and such very difficult. |

Last one was pretty nice. And he won against Battler/Kanon with two of the worst characters in the game, haha.
The Bern players aren't very impressive though. Might be because I fight a Bern main almost daily. |

I still refuse to believe that there are serious differences in the design of the characters, so that there are really good and really bad ones (With the exception being George, George is bad^^)
As for the tournament website. I asked a friend for help, who has way more experience doing this stuff (way more experience than me = >0 ^^). We started throwing ideas around and he did this first design template in PS. Spoiler for Template:
Of course the real work hasn't started yet, but generally I am against DaBackpack's suggestion due to reasons of fairness. My friend also suggested making some kind of highscore rewarding the first few players points of some sort. What do you think of that? Disregard the 'Forum' button for now. We do not plan including a forum, he just thought there was a full forum in place... Also I want to ask of you a few tips for training. Ougon is my first fighting game that I play 'seriously'. And so far I just played without focusing on any specific character whatsoever. I just played and played and am now at that point where I beat the hard AI with some people without serious trouble. From here on I feel kind of lost. I get the feeling that I do almost never real combos and neglect my defense, especially when I see YT-matches, I feel like a plain noob. How to continue getting better in Ougon? Please help |
