Someone please take my rewrite and space it/edit it/etc. accordingly. I'm fatigued from going through almost the entire chapter to find every he, her, his, she and original name in order to change it, plus trying to be creative enough to add references and jokes in there, which I did very little of.

I need tea. Iced, lemon flavored. Like Nestea or Brisk.

He muttered those last words, but I'm one hundred percent, absolutely, unequivocally, day-is-bright-and-night-is-dark sure that I heard him right. And for the first time I truly realized how terrifying he is. And also for the first time I realized how he could get away with so many deeds of mischief without catching some major grief. "Alright, I've got it! If you help me, I'll buy you something nice. I guarantee you'll love it!" With that, he turned around and sped off without waiting for my response, leaving this frazzled pretty little lady alone on the dust-filled staircase. I sighed in relief. "...I guess I'll love it... or else. Right?" I sighed again. Saying this to a plaster statue is pointless. I could only drag my heavy feet, thinking about how I would explain all this to my curious classmates. So just exactly what was he going to buy me anyway? <Editor's note: I've done some major overhaul here in terms of character interaction to make things seem more realistic. Although I don't think the plot line will change all that much in the future because of this. Kyonko wearing stuff Haruki buys is pretty much expected, so I think this is a nice set up, pun intended.> I read this... Giant canvases, near broken picture frames, statues of war gods with missing noses and such are all piled up in this little staircase, making what is supposed to be a narrow space even narrower. What's the point in bringing me to a place like this? Is he going to make me his bride? I’m not an alien! Put me down! He did. "Help me out." ...Haruki said with both his hands on my shoulders, looking straight into my eyes. This feels like a confession. Great, now I’m blushing. "Help with what?" "Help me make my new club!" "Why do I have to help you make a new club? Tell me that, first!" "I'll go find members and a room, so you go get the chartering paperwork." He wasn't even listening to me! I really don't think the school's gonna let you make a club with no clear goals in mind, Haruki. "Understood? Find out what you have to do before school's out, and I'll find us a room before that! OK?" No! ...except that if I had said that, I got the feeling that I'd he'd have done something horrible to me. While I was hesitating on the best way to phrase a complete and outright refusal, Haruki had already run off down the stairs, leaving a very disorientated schoolgirl standing alone at the top of a dusty stairwell. "...I didn't say yes or no yet..." Sigh. No point telling my woes to a plaster statue. I could only drag my heavy feet back towards the classroom, trying to work out how to explain all this to my curious classmates.
