Just saw the last episode it was beautiful and defintley left it open for a 3rd season..
Spoiler for scene:
Yukki choosing to leave with kaname (eventhough he told her she didn't have to) was just what I wanted. And for zero fans I guess him wanting to kill her gives him a reason to live. No kiss just her bloodsucking zero to prove to him that she really isn't human anymore . And loved the kaname yukki flashback..
I think if yuki wasn't around he wouldn't have a reason to live... for either of them..It was a bittersweet ending
Even though the Rido fight was kind of rushed, we got a lot of character interactions and emotional scenes that made up for it. I actually really liked Kaname this episode; he was so sweet when Yuuki returned to his room. =[ The ending was rather open-ended, and actually contains a lot of elements from recent manga chapters, so I think a season 3 is totally possible, though probably not any time in the near future. But I did feel really really bad for Zero (of course) because he got the short end of the stick.. again. ;_; It seems like all he ever does is suffer on behalf of others or make sacrifices. =[ The scene where he recalled Yuuki made me cry like crazy. ^^;; That was a really touching scene.. but either way, I thought the episode was well-done and at least there was no definite ending, so we can always hope for a season 3 someday. =D
Well, the action was rushed and totally disappointing. Oh well
Poor Zero, he's like totally ignored and lost everything. Non one even went to console him in the last episode. He's really alone. The last scene of him thinking Yuki still there pushing back the students, that was heartbreaking
Yuki chose Kaname over Zero, I guess she made her choice. Good for Kaname, but I still can't bring myself to really support him. He really did a lot of questionable stuffs. I really dislike everything went like his scenario. His "I know you will destroy Rido, and I know your next target is me, and I also know you won't be able to pull the trigger." Damn.
The end definitely opens for a third season, although we probably won't see it for a long time
I'm sad this is the last episode of the second season =S, time really passes fast!
This episode sure leaves lots of thoughts for me and I wouldn't be suprised if they anounce another season for VK.
About the scene where Yuuki drinks Zero's blood, I didn't expect that at all o.o and I thought it was the kissing scene in the manga. Poor father Cross, Yuuki is leaving you but she was a good girl.
I'm happy that Yuuki decides to go with Kaname even though he said that she's free now. Through the entire episode I waited for Yuuki to call Kaname ¨oni-sama¨, but she called him kaname--sama instead, lol.
Nothing much to say, on the whole Vampire Knight was one of the best shows that i've seen, however mid way of season two was quite a disapointment to me, since Zero werent shown a lot. Although, i've continued to watch it, mainly because of the character development. The ending was quite painful towards Zero, having no one to go back to, and have to suffer again, and having that good memories of Yuki, and having to know that he shall slay her one day.
Wait...Yuki drank Zero's blood? Thats new...and stupid. In the manga she said straight up "only person who's blood i want is Kaname" and here she is drinking someone elses blood...

The last episode was alright.
It didn't really leave an impression on me but neither did it leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. It was actually better than what I thought it would be ( I thought it was going to end crappy )
But way to butcher Yuuki more. She didn't do anything and her two knights in shining armor comes to do all the dirty work to save her butt. She hardly didn't even use her scythe =.=
The anime has completely made her useless.
That's my major grudge in this finale.
Everything else was played out decent, leaving mystery to Ichijou's whereabouts and Shiki mentioning breaking "spells".
I didn't cry suprisely but the part where Zero was standing infront of the school's door entrance and remembering innocent Yuuki made me feel like a hollow shell.
The ending was pretty decent when Zero has an memorie with the good Yuki, that part really was touching, and it was quite sad that she decided to leave him.

He wasn't remembering the good yuki~ he was remembering the human yuki...He can't accept the fact that she was always a pureblood the very vampire race that killed and toyed with his family. He needed proof that she wasn't human and that's why he asked her to drink, but once she did she finally realized his feelings(because it was in his blood). I think zero can only be happy with a human girl, because that's the part of himself he lost. I don't think he'll ever be happy with yuki unless he accepts who she is.. Keep in mind he told her to leave that he's ok ~ and that he considers himself a vampire hunter and will kill her. Now we have yuki being zero's alli and kaname' protector.

My favorite part of this episode was kaname telling her to do of her own free will not because he told her to do so, or out of any obligation to him, or guilt. I loved the childhood flashback in whch she tells kaname don't cry your not alone, I'll protect you *and then strokes his hair*. And then in the present he sinks to his knees and tells her, you've always been able to see through me ~ your my one beloved person in this world. And then she says I want to protect- this man. *and then caresses his head* It's really a story of unrequited love. Two people who were in love with each other and then torn apart by circumstance. She having no memory and kaname protecting her and always knowning. I can defintley feel where she's coming from

it was zero who drank yuuki's blood when she said that and kissed her!!!! oh my god!!!!!!!! WHY couldn't they have just stuck to that scene in the anime? WHY?? ugh!
Man, I'm really going to miss this show. I pray that they make another season. It's been such a dramatic ride the past 2 seasons and I've gotten too attached for it to end now . Even though I think they could have done the last 2 episodes a bit better I'm still pleased.

I'm a Zero fan and this episode just killed me inside, haha. Seeing Zero so a lone was just awful and I wasn't a big fan of how Yuuki reacted to the whole thing like she didn't care. I haven't read the manga but I wish she would have at least kissed him goodbye rather than just the bite although I don't know how Zero would have felt about that. I guess I just needed some sort of better closure for what was left of Zero and Yuuki's relationship. Someone said it in an earlier post but seeing Zero get NOTHING out of it in the end after all the suffering hes been through was just so hurtful . Now he has to suffer all alone!
The episode did feel a bit rushed especially Rido's fight but I guess they didn't really have a choice and I'm glad they focused more on what was to happen with all of the characters.
It's definitely been one of the best shows I've seen and one of the few shows that kept me wanting more and being excited to see the next episode week after week. It killed me when the first season ended and I had to wait all the way until October until the 2nd, but at least I knew there was going to be another season! Now we don't even know and if there is we don't know when! :'(
I haven't read ep 13's part in the manga so I really enjoyed how they peacefully ended the 2nd season.

Hearing Yuuki and Zero promising to kill each other, I guess that's their way of loving each other. I still think Kaname has a lot of future death flags but even then it'll be somewhat interesting if he dies leaving Yuuki and Zero. The outcome will be ironically bittersweet. Though, I'm not really gonna whine if they don't go with that, I don't want Kaname to die lol
Yuuki didn't kiss Kaname just like how she did in the manga so it made me think things would take a different turn here...but...it seems like they just didn't want to shoot down all of Zero's chances even if she left with Kaname. Yuuki clearly treasures her vow with Zero so that says something.
Also Kaname looked like a lost puppy when he knelt in front of Yuuki. He doesn't show it as often as Zero but I think he's also as tortured as Zero. I feel bad for him when he goes in that mode. ^^ I loved how Yuuki took the less ideal path by leaving the school and her friends. It deviates itself from the usual shoujo trend although Zero's flashback of Yuuki was sweetly heartbreaking. Yuuki needs to clone herself haha
All in all, I 'think' it all came down to that popularity contest the author conducted way back when. Kaname had more votes than Zero so she made Yuuki go with Kaname The author probably couldn't decide where she'll go with her story or something. Kaname may have won the girl, but Zero is way more prominent in the anime though.
On another note, what happened to Ichijou? I still don't believe he died.

You'll have to read the manga to find out what happened to Ichijou. They would have a lot of explaining to do if they included him (Ichijou) in the final episode. His absence involves a certain person not mentioned in the anime. There is no way they could of put that plot in ~under the time contraints they had..
