I remember watching an Love Hina Concert in Osaka with all the voice seiyuus were singing the songs from the anime, they even had a little Otohime Mutsumi skit. It would be interesting to see the voice seiyuus to do a live-action based on the manga/anime series.

Also Sailor Moon live action isnt so bad, once u get used to all the cheesy dialog and phony attack scenes you'll get hooked. lol

Well with the end of the three Spring Specials, they exhausted all the story left in the manga. What you say did, in fact, happen and as such there's not much more room for them to make a story without conjuring up more events out of thin air (as opposed to having a manga basis.)

Besides, Akamatsu's moved on to better things and they're animating that.

no, they're probably not going to animate anymore Love Hina
if they do, it wouldn't be more than an OVA or a movie, since the only real story left is the Molmol "vacation", Motoko's "final battle" with her sister, and the last appearance of Nyamo (which wouldn't work, since in the manga she shows up with a job offer for Keitaro, and in the anime she's wandering around looking for her grandfather)
besides, as said above, since the end of Love Hina, Akamatsu started work on another new anime and manga (Mao-chan and Negima respectively) and is probably currently working on the new Negima anime OVA or TV series or whatever they're doing as well

actually, Naru is a guest star in one of the Mao-Chan episodes (early twenties, i believe). takes place a couple years after the manga ending in Love Hina. this is the basic goings-on of it:

Episode 28? I don't think there is one. It's up to 25, then 2 specials (Spring/Christmas) and Love Hina Again OVA.

I always thought the series ended in 24 eps, and had 4 ova's(love hina again).

Either way, what's the ending??

and who's the girl from the promise?

My mistake on the post above, I fixed it from 26 to 25. Anyway, you couldn't figure who the girl out from the promise yourself ?

And there was only one OVA, Love Hina Again, which had three episodes.

And if you read the manga, the ending is a bit more clear.

As far as I know...

I think they did a good job at twisting it into making you really think at who the girl really was though.

It couldn't have been Motoko. Naru was only 2 when the promise happened, and Motoko is even younger than she is. Motoko simply falls for Keitaro for her own reasons.

It sounds like you haven't seen Love Hina Again. I recommend you watch it. It's the closest thing to closure the anime gets. Even better would be to read the manga. I think the manga handled the story and its resolution much better than the anime did.

to clear up a bunch of things

Love Hina

Regular season : 24 episodes

"episode 25" : Motoko episode which is only featured on the DVD's only

Spring special OVA

Christmas special OVA

"episode 28" : a RECAP episode, no more no less

Love Hina Again : 3 OVA

That is all there is to Love Hina. If you wanna know how the story continues after Love Hina Again, buy the manga.

To answer some other questions about the promised girl, this wasn't properly explained in the anime, you need to read the manga for it.
warning major spoiler, be warned
