I watch the animes that I either anticipate or has an interesting 1st episode. Since they're released weekly I also watch a title off my eternal anime backlog.
Here's the stuff I'm currently watching: Maria+Holic Clannad: After Story Toradora Zoku Natsume Yujinchou I'm backlogging the rest like Birdy Decode 2, Akikan, Yoichi, SH: Kuro, etc. etc. because they don't interest me Seemingly interesting titles that I want to finish first before watching: Rideback, Michiko to Hatchin, White Album, etc.) Tough to track down. |

At the moment, i only watch 2 or 3 ongoing series. Instead of, i read a lot more mangas, cause i cant find any good ones, i want to watch.
So i would say, i watch 2 hours anime per week. Reading manga 10 hours per week.

It may also be that you should try genre you might not have considered before.... It gets a bit tricky spotting the rare better execution of a tried and true storyline.

Time for Anime?
How does everyone find time for watching anime? I personally can't watch more than a few series at once; I'm only watching 2 airing currently and 5 or so finished ones. I takes so much time to watch entire series... How does everyone cope with this? I really want to watch a lot more but there's just not enough time for me...

I collect then watch later, whether it's fansubs or dvd/bds. Like you I also find it hard to watch multiple series at once. I stopped watching episodes on a weekly basis for the most part. I will try to wait until a season or two is over to start watching. If it's very long or indefinite, then I'll just watch in large batches. It's much more satisfying this way, as I don't have to split my attention between different shows nor try to remember what happened in each 20 min episode one or two weeks ago for each show.
This also makes it easier to find time since I can always wait. If you're going to school I can see how it's harder to find a lot of time at once since the workload is mostly at a constant rate. But what about the weekend? Unless there are also assignments and activities that occupy you then. For me, out of school, workload (and stress ) crests and troughs (no matter the day or time) so I just try to watch during those low periods. |

I usually watch a lot of anime. Usually I watch all anime thats on television, unless its absolutely terrible, and I watch most of my anime online and I find most of it by usually just googling and looking for suggestions. As for how much, I get around to about 3-4 hours a day when Im not busy, but thats just an estimate.

Haven't watched a single episode in around 3 months now; damn!
I'm hoping to get back into things now, but I never watch a consistent amount even when I'm an anime regular. One week I might watch 2 episodes, and the next I might watch 40; it all depends on the greatness of the series I'm watching and my general mood.

The most I've been following at one point was about 31 and most of those weren't on-going.
I'm currently watching 14 ongoing series. I don't find it hard to immerse myself either despite the high number. A few of my favourites this season would be: Seitokai no Ichizon, Kuuchuu Buranko and 11eyes. |
