I did a quick search and I was shocked when no results came up for this sort of thread. I don't know if it's allowed either, I rarely start threads. But I'm sure most of you know the drill because these "faux" motivational posters are all over the 'net. I tried my hand at one:

Yeah, that's what I've heard them being called--I didn't coin the phrase. One of the best I've seen was this one:

I did one for my mom a while back. It's not really a "Motivational Poster", but it was done with the thought in mind.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to kill this thread while it's still small and helpless.

We generally discourage image threads except for 1 or 2 threads in each series discussion which are focused on that series. I don't think that this thread should be an exception to that rule. These "motivational posters" are endless in quantity and variety so we can count on this image thread to grow without limits, most of it pointless and repetitive until your eyes glaze over. Meanwhile we can expect several favorite images to be reposted on every single page from 1 to 999999.

Yup, I think I'll stick with our policy to discourage image threads even though many of these posters are quite amusing. If I don't stop it now, it will grow until it escapes our control and devours my head.
