I'm shocked as to how much content this chapter covered. I've got tons of thoughts, but only a few that need be mentioned
-With Aizen being disposed of soon, that means he doesn't have very long to make a move. So hopefully I won't have to wait 100+ chapters to see if the guy's returning or not -Shinji getting away with calling Unohana a dumb-ass (regardless of context) makes me wanna rage. But I forgive him. -Ichigo's theories regarding Aizen doesn't go very far towards explaining his initial goal and motivation. In other words, what did any of that have to do with breaking into the king's realm and taking the throne? And how does his supposed desire to be "just a shinigami" explain why he wanted to transcend both shinigami and hollows? I feel like I'm missing something obvious. So someone, fill me in. |

I do like how Byakuya has utter disdain for his sleeves, but can keep his fancy scarf spotless
I must admit though, I'm baffled by Ichigo's little natter on Aizen wanting to "Just be a shinigami" If so, why did he talk about the "unbearable vacancy of the throne" and why did the hougyoku turn him into butterflaizen? In fact, why did he go through all the hassle of betraying SS in the first place? Argh Kubo. *shakes fist* It is nice to see Ichigo making some facial expressions other than "OMGWTFBBQCAN'TDEFEATTHATHALP" and "srsbsnsnowtimetopwnyou" |

He wanted to get along with everyone, but he was just too strong. No one could relate to him and he couldn't relate to others. So, like a true tsundere, he does the opposite of what he really wants. He seeks out being the very best because there's no way he can ever be "just a shinigami." The No.1 Espada had the same problem as Aizen, only he wasn't tsundere about it. He couldn't be around others because of his strength, and the thing he wanted most was someone that could be his friend. |

I believe the only reason about Bleach being so trolled and having so many plot holes is to end every manga with a twist.
He once said in an interview that he's writting the story as it goes, but I think the real answer would be to end it every week with twists. Novels, TV shows and many more follow the same pattern. It starts as a good idea, then the author just focuses on twisting it to sell more, and a year later, your story doesn't make sense anymore. Give Kubo some credit. He keeps twisting the series every week, making it hard to understand or predict, and trolling his fandom. Could you really, in his position, twist Bleach this much? @At the guys arguing about Ulq purposely wounding Ichigo in the chest. I bet you guys that if you ask Kubo about that, he literally would lol'd 'coz he wouldn't know the answer either. |

Still...it's weird. Even if we were to assume Aizen felt bitter about not having anyone strong enough to stand on his level, it would still feel wrong. Because with Yamamoto and Urahara around, he was still among shinigami who were either strong enough or intelligent enough to relate to him in one way or another. I think Kubo just needs to elaborate more, or keep Ichigo's silly theories to himself. |

Argh, just face it, Aizen did all that because he had enough free time...
Ichigo, in fact Kubo, is just creating a cheesy theory to feel some pity for Aizen. BTW.... this manga is so good when you think that there is no more Brat-chan...

Speaking of Ichigo, I can't help but think that he's turning into a Hollow now. Zangetsu mentioned that if he were to use that power, he would lose his Shinigami powers forever. Emphasis on Shinigami. Nothing was mentioned about him losing his hollow powers. I think that's what's happening to him now. He's turning into a hollow just as he had when he was working to regain his Shinigami powers. But now, he has none, and so there is nothing left for Ichigo except to transform. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I'm starting to get.

Ichigo's powers activated the McGuffin inside Rukia which in turn made the wishes of those around it, come true; This would include Orihime and chad... but no one else, like ichigo's sisters who rukia had been staying in the same house as them... Also it was responsible for Rukia losing her powers... y'know just like what Urahara's special Gigai was designed to do... and that she did get her powers back anyway sometime after she was removed from the gigai... yeah... BS... actually i'm surprised they didn't credit the damn thing for giving ishin his powers back... |

Ok, here's the deal. Every single living human in Bleach possesses their own latent spiritual energy. However, awakening this energy is supposed to be a very rare occurrence. But since Ichigo has unnaturally high spiritual energy that he was constantly leaking out, it awakened the latent spirtual energy within those around him -- this includes his sisters, friends, and even some acquaintances. Having sensed Orihime and Chad's unusually strong desires to gain power, all the hogyouku did was guide their newly awakened spiritual energy into manifesting itself into the various forms of power Orihime and Chad gained.
So technically, Ichigo awakened their power afterall. But the hougyoku awakened their "unique abilities" as Aizen put it. Because remember, "if the target does not essentially possess the power to beget their desires", then the hougyoku can't make it happen. So by awakening their spiritual energy, Ichigo inadvertently granted Orihime and Chad the "power" they needed for the hougyoku to turn their wishes into a reality. Having said that, I also don't think Ichigo losing his shinigami powers will affect Chad and Orihime at all since there's really no reason for it to. |
