Spoiler for Kirisaki's mystery:
I know it was obvious, but we didn't know for sure until the final episode (in the anime) and chapter 210 in the manga.

Ahhhkkk... u with similar avatar as meeee ><
anyways... you had me going there for a second!! I thought there was more secret to Kirisaki. ^^;;;;;; It's funny because even before they showed him clearly in the anime I could already guess who he was. (I watched the first epsiode again and realised his store (that he had to shut down) was St Pierre.) My friend was asking if the manga keeps going long after the anime... looks like it doesn't much! There may not be enough material for one more season.. but is there enough for like, a movie/special episode? *_* |

Well, at least it's officially "canon" now, albeit rather anti-climactic. I mean, come on, how many of you DIDN'T think Kirisaki was "the guy" when he was fully "revealed" during the Monaco Cup Finals? |

/sigh what a great series and now it's over. Oh well, I was already planning on becoming a baker before this show, and now I'm going to school to become one, so now I need to rewatch it and write down all the techniques ^_^ and it makes me want to be a baker even more now that the show is over.
Hope there is some kind of movie or a couple episode OVA, but all I can do is wait for the release of the manga over here. |

Just finished it, and A-E did a superb job. Bravo! The latter episodes didn't seem too interesting and it was really getting repetitive, probably why they decided that 69 episodes is enough. I had been hoping since the beginning that Tsukino and Azuma would develop some love-love relationship, but it seems like Azuma is either too thickheaded or loves his Ja-pan too much that he missed plenty of chance with Tsukino. Tsukino also didn't have much of a role as the 'main heroine' in the series either, more like a cheerleader. Even Kai, a side character found love with Monica. Other than that, it was still an enjoyable ride but seriously could have been better.

I loved yakitate japan. It was a unique anime...when my friend told me that there was an anime about baking bread I looked at him skeptical and thought he was joking around. But after the 2nd episode I was completly hooked.
