The constant usage of the word 'relief' is making me uncomfortable in the light of the last episode.

Why is it that the six letters people in online fandoms seem to fear the most are c-o-m-e-d-y?

Heaven forbid that anime be described as nothing more than simple entertainment.

As emotionally engaging and satisfying as I find some anime, and considering the money I've spent on things like figures and art books, I can easily describe it as more than simple entertainment.

Episode 8 was ok. I didn't find it very funny at all. The important plot points have already been pointed out, but the rest was... eh, kinda' silly. I'm not critical of the series in general, in fact I'm surprised by how much I've been enjoying it so far, considering the obvious, obnoxious K-On! influence (something that seems to have infected the industry in some places).

This is moe anime (typical cookie-cutter line up of moe girls), it just happens to be wrapped up with an interesting setting and story line.

Episode 8 was interesting, could have been worse, could have been another "A day in the Rain" like in Haruhi, Some interesting revelations about Rio it seems as well. And somehow that will be explained later, Kanata found out about the bootlegging.

Couldn't have said it any better. I think this show only touches some nerves since it skates that fine line of a serious drama and moe comedy. It's like Oil and Water: The Anime.

Eiri Kitamura (the seiyuu of Kureha) drew an illustration of Kureha (on the stuff blog).

Kureha says “Come to our event of Sora No Woto”.
Nice pic.

I was re-watching ep 3 and realized that I had missed/forgotten about Filicia wondering what Rio's father would think about her lack of manners.

It's almost unfair that such a talented seiyuu can draw like a damn professional mangaka..

She can also sing really well and she probably has the prettiest face out of all the Seiyuu out there.

This has the potential to be either completely awesome or completely lame.

The pajamas thing isn't exactly bad or (that dreaded word again) moe-ish, but I just hope that the final episodes don't relish around is pointless silliness, because it already has all the possibilities of something major, and such events could really pull the rub underneath all the potential.

Unless we get season 2.

Director Kanbe also says the legend of fire maiden is based on the historical event which took place in Seize long ago. And the legend will become a key of the climax.
Maybe the war will restart and the battle will begin at Seize.

Seize is going to fall fast then as those girls aren't combat level military.
