And we did get an "ending" to this part of the story, and there could be more as we'll see in a year with the movie. At least they said "We're making a movie." Come on now, you know the Gundam Franchise. It's all about the dough, which isn't a completely bad thing, because it means fans get to see more. Maybe it won't take forever for it to get released as the SEED movie has taken. Not that I'd actually want to see the SEED movie. Fukuda and his wife were terribad.

I hardly call the Reborn Gundam getting destroyed, while Ribbons is obviously not dead to be an ending.

I think 00 just outdid GSD for worst ending in a gundam au series.

Other than Seed though, AUs don't really do slaugterfests for their endings. 00 probably had more deaths in the last five episodes than any of the other AUs did (except Seed)

And you think what's shown in the last episodes of Seed and Seed Destiny were actually "endings"??? Especially what's shown in Ep 50 of Destiny? I mean, at least Mizushima can now focus on a sequel movie and not have to scramble to redo the final episode that actually make sense... Shows how all your criticism are a result of irrational bias, doesn't it?

Gundam Seed had an excellent ending, it showed that peace isn't always complete or long lasting. Look at the Korean War, or both World Wars. Hell the Cold War began almost immediatly after Japan's surrender.

Gundam Seed Destiny has one of the worst ending's in anime history.

The "clone" in the last shot doesn't really look like Ribbonz as I think that person has bigger breasts than a guy would have.. unless Ribbonz took on the form of a female. Ah well. Either way, I'm not sweating it for a year.
