I'm looking for Kanon doujinshi from a specific artist and I'm hoping that posting here is a good place to start. More specifically, the kind of doujinshi is either ecchi or adult-rated. Some sample pictures from the author have been posted in the image thread here a long time ago, and of course, those images were clean. The author is Watsuki, or the circle is called Watsukiya. In Japanese text, that is わつき屋. Perhaps you know this author by the very cutesy CG Kanon images that show up from time to time and there is a link to the website on the image.
I am going to post links to just information pages, but I need to warn you that these links are not safe for work. I don't think they are very graphic, but it is always a matter of opinion. Author's website: Here. Doujinshi DB Project Page: Here. W-Canvas shopping page: Here. They have a new doujinshi in celebration of the Kanon 10-year anniversary, and that is indeed the prize I am looking for. The name is "COLORS! 5". I would like to buy that comic and since shipping it to the US would be very expensive, I'd want to buy more than just one comic in the same shipment. But I have no clue on how to do it. Purchasing software from Japan is easy and plenty of retail websites have been posted on these forums. Those sites have shipping overseas options. I get the impression that doujinshi are limited quantity, limited print, and sometimes only sold at an event such as Comiket. At times like that, it would be great to have a proxy in Japan. In the case that the product is not available at all, peer-2-peer networking isn't such a bad idea, right? But even though I have a few Japanese P2P programs, I don't even know how to use them effectively. If anyone here has information on how I can get that "COLORS! 5" comic or others from that author, please let me know through PM or post here if that makes great public information.

For OmegaPhlare:
Yeah, a lot of doujinshi isn't sold online, at least by the comic book artists/writers. Some sites to check out for doujin: *Himeya Shop I've looked at Himeya.com a few times, and they seem to have a lot of doujin; I'm not sure if they only stock doujin from the more popular artists only. *eBay I've also seen auctioners put up doujin(shi) here, too. Be careful, though; I've seen quite a few sellers who want to sell a 1000 yen (~$10) doujinshi comic book for over $50. Yahoo! Japan Auctions Probably the best place for Japanese goods for cheap prices. But since most auctioners won't ship outside of Japan, you'll probably need a proxy service to bid for you, receive the item, then ship it to you from their headquarters. In a case like this, you won't be wanting TokyoHunter, whom I mention below, to do the job. *TokyoHunter A one-man proxy service. Give him the cash, he'll give you the Japan-only goods. The reason I suggest him over a full-blown proxy company, which is only useful for buying things online, is that TokyoHunter can buy things from conventions (Comiket, anyone?), real-life stores, and magazine-only promotional offers. And if you want a list of Japanese proxy services, just ask in your next post. |

On the product website of the Blu-rays, English subtitles are listed for the "limited edition", if I understand the Google translation correctly:
http://hp.ponycanyon.co.jp/pchp/cgi-..._SKHKETSEQ=001 Can perhaps somebody with more Japanese skills confirm this? Yesterday they were only listed for the lim. edition but now there are part of the technical specifications.

Is there a way I can get the C70 kanon sketchbook?
http://heiseidemocracy.com/2006/08/1...premiere-pack/ Or at least, a way to get the scans? I've been looking for it a long time and I still can't find it. |

The Pony Canyon site has always listed English subs. But the worrying thing for me is the Region 2 encoding that's also listed on the site...
Pony Canyon Listing Does that mean it's not going to be region free as I had originally thought? |

When I get the set I can check it. So far every Japanese Blu-ray I got was region-free, but I don't have a Pony Canyon release so far. I have a Region A PS3 even while I'm living in Europe to be on the safe side^^

Of course, it's easy as heck to get an out-region or region-free player. And now you can get one that lets you play both imported Japanese discs and imported US discs. And the US definately has a lot of nice blu-rays coming out these days, anime included.

Unfortunately, it's not easy to find a region-free BD player in Australia. |

yup, i got mine.
Video: Beautiful and detailed. Exactly what I'd expect from a 1080p transfer. Very nice, its really remarkable how much detail that you can see. Audio: Surround sounds very nice, with things being separated when needed. Subs: ADV subs |
