Now that you mention it, I am interested in how Marianne's voice will turn out.

I personally loved both Amy Kincaid and JYB's performances, I cried all over again! they both did a very great job, imo.

Dubbed previews of R2 14 and 15 are up on Bandai's YouTube channel:

http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=...nt&view=videos

They add a couple every other week. Plus they have been adding full episodes, both in English and Japanese + subs, and are up to s1 15.

well i just managed the to see the dub episode this week. I thought the death scene was handled very well. I really like the VA in this dub. The only part I didn't like was the "I order you not to die". Well RIP again Shirley.

Chibi Lelouch's scream was mis-enunciated in the dub. Didn't quite capture the same feeling of horror.

I couldn't really understand what you said, but are you talking about voice actors who take on a different role? It happens often with shows with lots of extra characters. Even with the Negima dubs, where they didn't use 31 different voice actresses for the all-female class.

I just watched Turn 14 dubbed. The VAs did a great job as usual, but V.V.'s "Oh yeah" line was beyond funny. Oh, and another line that caught my attention was that Lelouch said "as a funeral offering for Shirley I'll give Rolo's life!" (paraphrased)

...uh sure Lelouch. I'm sure Shirley will really appreciate that.

I'm sure he knows as much, but this is to make him feel better.

Well, that's pretty selfish of him then, not to mention disrespectful to Shirley. BTW, I was mostly joking when I said that.

lol, yea, V.V's VA is funny! who does his dub voice? whoever it is, they sound so cute! I love that "oh yeah?" line too. He made similar comments a few times either before or after that too, didnt he? I think he said something like, "Oh really?" in a similar tone at some point.

and yea, that whole funeral offer, was that in the original script(or something similar), or did they just translate it like that for the dub?

"Oh Rolo"

it might have been funnier though if they werent little kids. It just seemed really wrong... But I really like Spike Spencer and he was a great choice for Rolo, imo. 'Cept I keep picturing characters like Shinji or Hanataro when I hear Rolo, though he does sound a little different as Rolo, I dont know how to explain it...

Cindy Robinson played V. V., which I found interesting.

I was disappointed they dropped the "immortal witch" line.

When Lelouch is discussing his plans with C. C. to destroy the Geass cult and anyone who has the power, and C. C. asks him what he plans to do with her, to which he responds, and I paraphrase "I couldn't kill you even if I wanted to, you immortal witch."

Oh! I thought be did call her that though? Doesn't he say something like: "I can't kill you because you are eternally young and an immortal witch"? I could be wrong though.

I don't know if anyone has commented on this yet, but there was a change in the actual visual of the dub I'm pleased with.
In the original Japanese episode, V.V. taking the knife out of his head wasn't seen. It just sort of came out... In the dub, he actually reaches for it and pulls it out.

His voice is still bothering me just a smidge, but nothing worth RAAAGING over, hahaha!

Just.. Random notes from neighborhood crazy.

They use the DVD versions, so there's a lot of small details. People bleed more, the seduction team in 12 is slightly more naked, etc.
