BTW If you have any questions about Deltora Quest in general I'd be more then happy to answer them since I know the series so well, I can watch the raw clips and still be about 95% certain on what they are talking about. However any questions I do answer... will be marked as spoilers. |

Deltora Quest isn't exactly a hot anime among the fansubbing fandom, so DATS is pretty much the only group handling Deltora at the moment. Not to mention they're also boggled down by the main project, Digimon Savers and another one, Ryuusei no Rockman, so Episode 1 by DATS is pretty much the only non-Japanese release so far.
And Deltora Quest is not yet licensed for release in English by any company. Anyway, the Episode 4 and 5 are a little more boring than Episode 1,2,3, but I'll surmise that to the general minor "things" that goes on in novels. Since Deltora IS a book-based anime that apparently has a high degree of faithfulness, I'd expect some episodes like that once in a while. Episode 6 = Jasmine in a hot-tub?

animegirl2410 should be able to do better than me as a Deltora reader, but here's the gist.
A group of 3 formed of the young RPG hero, the veteran knowledgable swordsman, and a forest girl goes on a quest to look for the 7 Jewels of Deltora, defeat the Dark Lord and restore peace.

Thanks, Nightengale and Deathkillz. That's pretty much the 1-2 sentence summary I was looking for. Doesn't take that much for me to try out something from my favorite genre in general, though I'm preparing myself for any cliche characters or plot development, just in case.

Dropping away from episode discussion... The full version of the opening, HEART BEAT appeared on YouTube today. It's... rotten. >o< I'm hoping that the ending is a lot better =/ OP CD comes out on the 22nd, and the ED CD comes out on the 28th. Both have special versions with a DVD hosting the PV.

Girl of the Forest, Jasmine
I am intending to watch the entire series through the fansubs, and I must say it delights me to see such a gorgeous and surreal animation employed into the scenarios.
They captured on screen the murky, claustrophobic, and ominous environment of the dark forest for episode two. And I can believe the story has progressed very fast for our heroes to have reached their boss to encounter and their first destination. BTW, it surprises me that the characters portrayed in this story are very brave to face hardships or death without feeling regrets or fear. |

We get evil shapesifters (The animators better not mess up the desgin) that well.... you'll have to see for yourself... I do hope that their introduction to them in the series will be the same as the books... cause its a good scene... So's the Rithmere Games... they'll come up soon... BTW We are up to book 3 now folks. The City of Rats.... |

Decided to revive this thread a bit, seeing that it seems so abandoned. I've started watching this series with my four year old. I think it's all right and I wanna see it till it ends. And to make a comment on episode 4...
Spoiler:
Any thoughts on episodes 8 and 9? I've watched them, but my understanding of Japanese is not as good as to attempt putting summaries in spoiler tags. On another note, my brother says that this anime reminds him of Legend of Zelda except that instead of Link looking for the pieces of the triforce it's Spoiler:
