Well, perhaps with Arclight wanting to see who had a Stigmata, they fed everyone some more Eden Seeds and see who developed what. Maybe that's how characters like Uten were able to develop their Stigmata recently but others (Setsuna) weren't. And maybe that extra dose of Eden Seed put her over the top and is now acting like a toxin in her body (I guess that'd make sense with that evil/demonic looking face she made in the middle of the chapter). Would make sense given how angry she is over not having a Stigmata.
And there's actually one person who comes to mind that could've hit Setsuna at such a speed and not left any sort of wound (well, external or obvious wound). And given how Mio was talking about an angel at the start of the fight, the one who she thought was protecting Cruz, it might actually be ANn or something. Wouldn't that be something?
Spoiler:
If the reason Setsuna coughing up blood right now is Yamada, then it will be an indicator that he can not only defend, but also attack(which will mean that there is still hope of defeating Riru).
Right now I'm very confused, and find it difficult to predict on who the story will focus next chapter and I also find it difficult to decide on who I want it to focus.
Because of the extremely convenient timing of her "coughing up buckets o' blood" I'm inclined to believe it's an attack from someone on her(trying to help Teruyama), but then again... Imai Kami has used some veeery convenient coincidences before so that can hardly be taken as a meaningful clue. Together with the fact there's no visible wounds I am 50/50 on whether it has an external or internal cause.
I don't think it would have been too hard for even a normal Needless to hit Setsuna though. Her BB attack seems to be mainly her arms moving at incredible speed, her torso of course has to follow but that still would remain mostly in the same place.
To me is clear. Setsuna herself angrily stated how come Teruyama who she thought was a just weakling is one of the bearers and she doesn't. This is truthful proof she was injected with Arclight's Eden Seed.
Also...
MY-GOD, talk about Berserk Button...!! That creepy look is gonna haunt me for days.
Besides looking creepy, SetsunaŽs eyes might also be a clue. Not something IŽd consider 100% convincing since it could always just have been a way to make her look menacing and coincidentally look like SetoŽs eyes, but still interesting to notice.

Spoiler:
Ah, cool, thanks for posting that. It does look like the same effect for Seto as it does for Setsuna, so there's that for a clue.
And yeah, that'd also go in line with what I mentioned earlier with Arclight wanting to test everyone to see if they have a Stigmata. I guess Setsuna was injected with it and found out she doesn't have one (whereas others like Uten and Teruyama do). And now, to make things worse, that extra injection is killing her.
Wonder what'll happen next. I figure Kuchinashi and Mio will stop fighting and try to help her, but I figure Setsuna will try to continue to kill Teruyama.
I do think it has something to do with Eden Seed, what if Setsuna was injected enough with Eden Seed for a stigmata to appear? By coming into contact with Teryuama was enough to awaken it? Kinda far fetched but its seems the most logical.

Spoiler:
Yeah, it's gotta be something with the Edens Seed given what's happening with Setsuna now is similar to what happened with Seto when her Fragment was enhanced. Both had the blacked-out eyes and were coughing up lots of blood, so it's likely the same process going on.
Be interesting to see if Setsuna does end up with a Stigmata or not. Be amusing to see one of the 3 that Arclight missed was within Simeon this whole time.
Location: Somewhere between this world and the next
Spoiler for 106:
Note that Seth only coughed up blood when Uten's spear was blasted out of her body (and it wasn't just coming out of her mouth), which somewhat confuses the issue. (I feel I have to point these things out...) Nevertheless, I'm pretty convinced by the Eden's Seed theory.
Another point in its favour is, why would a third party bother to join the fight at that point? Teruyama wasn't really in need of assistance. He just needed to figure out some way of landing one decent blow and Setsuna would have been in a lot of trouble.
Though having said that... I did have half an idea for a fragment that might have produced the observed effect. Maybe I'll share it at some point.
I didn't expect we would go back to Teruyama and the girls squad fight. It was a refreshing experience especially since we got some humor from Kushinashi and Mio. I hope Setsuna will be alright. I never liked liked her arrogance, but still no one deserved what is currently happening to her. I am inclined to belive she was attacked, but still the option of Eden's Seeds being implanted is a possibility as well, considering her eyes are the same as Set's when she got injected in one instance (I was shocked at her face at that moment, gave me a lasting image). Imai Kami-san leaves hints in his panels for future developments. Setsuna's Black sclera could be one of the obvious hints he intentionally is leaving. Hopefully, we will get confirmation next chapter or December.
We learn Riru is more dangerous than ever with revealing even more abilities of Pyscokenises along with the location of her stigmata. This fragment will most likely take Cruz's brain power to the max to think of countermeasures against it, and he still has Arclight to worry about with him fighting Blade. Interesting to note, how Blade eventhough losing is showing bountless confidence. Where is he getting it all from? Does he actually have a plan?
In addition, regarding Blade somehow learining fragments he wasnlt able to learn before. The recent example being Strom's Ice fragment. I had a certain theory about that. It goes back to Cruz's origins. We had theory's circulating that he was created artificially, maybe as an anti-needless or part of the Adam project. I figure he acts as "Library" of sorts for fragments that an Adam series can somehow tap into to learn fragments. Back in the very first City arc chapter, Disk told Blade and Eve something regarding Cruz as she didn't want him or Mio, a member of Simeon to hear. Next Blade had Cruz take a pill that is still up for debate what it was exactly, and it left him unconcious.
In between that time and the time he woke up. It appears he has been moved. He was on rocky plains when with Blade, Eve and Disc, and when eh came to, he was on cement. Who knows why he was moved or what was done to him in that time. It was a likely oppurtunity for Blade to somehow "access" Cruz using his Byakugou probably, and learned all the those fragments that way. Fourth wave, Agni Shiwattas and Ice are all fragments Cruz has either figured out or experienced fist hand. Blade mentioned when he first used Agni Shiwattas that he learned it by seeing, but when fighting Aruka in Shelter 3, she even said that her fragment couldn't be learned that way as multiple locks of the brain are opened simultaneously, impossible for him to decode.
Another point in its favour is, why would a third party bother to join the fight at that point? Teruyama wasn't really in need of assistance. He just needed to figure out some way of landing one decent blow and Setsuna would have been in a lot of trouble.
Spoiler for 106:
I think he was in dire need of assistance, at least that exact moment. He mentioned specifically his heart and head/neck were unguarded in a "Oh fuck this is bad!" way, just before setsuna started barfin' blood. Those are exactly the two places which are the weakspots even for Needlesses with incredible regeneration powers. Setsuna is a lot tougher than you might think, she already got hit with a Mio&Teryama combi attack and still managed to push Teruyama around in this chapter.
If it is Eden seed which is wrecking her from the inside I wonder why it took so long for it to take effect. A normal needless would've died if administered enough condensed eden seed to provoke the appearance of a stigmata according to Uten and quite fast at that. Perhaps it's different for Needless of a missing link class? Or would she have gotten a lower dosage?

Spoiler for 106:
While I am starting to warm up to the Eden seed theory, I still think its possible that Setsuna is under attack. However, Im not looking at this situation from the perspective that the individual attacking is trying to help Teruyama. Rather that it's someone from Simeon who found out Mio turned traitor.
If someone found this out, it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that both Setsuna and Kuchinashi are traitor's as well. As we saw with Aruka, Simons pretty quick to pronounce judgment for traitors so if someone found out what Mio's been doing, they may have just decided to step in, and wipe them out. Teruyama might still have value, so that might be why Setsuna was the first target.
There's a lot of possible candidates who could have been responsible, what with all the clones, and just about every member of Simeon hopped up on drugs. Weve already discussed Nanami, Misaki, and Kurumi coming back, but its possible there are other members of Girl Squad who have their eye on becoming Riru's personal squad.

Possibly, so. It would be chance to see more girl squad members, but with the current focus and how we are reaching the climax. I don't think it would be someone personally out to get Setsuna, Kushinashi or Mio.

Spoiler:
But, if they cloned Nanami, Misaki, and Kurumi and tested to see if they have Stigmata, then they might be around now as soldiers/assassins again. And if they saw Mio fighting alongside Teruyama, they might quickly label all of them traitors, so that they have a reason to take their revenge on them.

Spoiler for spoiler:
Agreed, Nanami and Misaki do have a reason and they would attack them given any provocation, but Kurumi worked with them in shelter 3. If she has a grudge against anyone, it would be Teruyama, since he helped brought about her death. I don't see why she would approve of stopping Setsuna when about to deal a critical blow to him. I am not saying it isn't a possibility, just that the timing is bad with the plot where it is. Of course, we have at least three incidents occuring, four if we count Saten and the person who is currently with him. What will be the outcome of them and how will they tie together?
Avvessione, what do you think of the theory in my previous post about Cruz being a "library of fragments"?
I am even more convinced of the Eden Seed theory now. Remember Cruz from chapter 100? How Arclight commented on his eyes? I wonder if its the same as Set and Setsunna, though Cruz didn't start coughing up blood, but do you think it could be related to a awakening of a stigmata?
I don't think Setsuna was injected with enough, they said they had safer ways to inject Eden Seed into Needless now, but she probably showed no signs of a stigmata and left her alone, by coming into contact with Uchida, was enough to awaken it.
I wonder what a Speed stigmata would be like? Mach 200, 300 and 900?

Spoiler:
I think that maybe Yamada's eyes were his stigmata. I'm thinking so because they were unique and even Arclight commented about them(though he only mentioned the color).
And I think her stigmata may allow to not only increase her speed, but also her reflexes, thinking processes and ect.

Spoiler:
Stealing Cruz's locket before he could even smash it, or anyone else even notice that she ever moved for that matter, would require reflexes, thinking processes, etc to match her speed. Otherwise she could never do something so specific and in a flawless way that allowed others in the room to never notice she did anything until she opened her hand. She even gloated about how in slow motion everyone else was to her, so that means she does get increased thought. The only time that was ever in question was when Rin claimed it, but in her mind, Setsuna said that assumption was wrong and her real problem with Rin was the pressure keeping her from moving the way she wanted to.

Spoiler for :
The only Times Setsunna's reactions were ever called into question was with Rin, she obviously has the high speed though process, otherwise she would be smashing into walls all the damn time.
I would like some speed force powers, allow her to phase through solid objects , speed stealing, and a Infinite Mass Punch.
