If thats the case it throws off the rest of the numbering system that I wrote out in my post. Miya = 01, full specimen, 02-09 = 8 fetuses, hence my question about where 00 fits into all of this. Maybe a clone?? or perhaps the next level of Sekirei?? Maybe something Minaka created himself??

My guess is that she is the mother of all Sekireis. If she isn't counted as one then there still are 108 of them.

Yeah its 69 I believe since that was the chap all of us were wondering if Kagari's gender would be revealed. I think its been scanlated however I havent seen it yet.

So there's two possibilities that 00 is

the Mother so to say (or original Sekirei), or an experiment by Minaka, though i don't see why he'd give an experiment a number that pretty much means the original form.

Anyway, in terms of speculation, i just want them to get it out in the open and say that

Minaka is Minato's Father. There's been so many signs, and still it hasn't been mentioned. She's probably waiting for the right time to let out the information.

yea u do see 00 in 69, which as WMB says looks like Miya.

in 69, Minaka speaks of 1 pillar and 107 baby birds so whatever that means....I don't know >_<

While Matsu was explaining the story to Minato, Musubi,Tsukiumi and Kuu, the others (Kazehana, Kagari and Miya) were listening into the conversation through the "Magical speaking ducky" in another room. As the conversation come to the point about the Sekireis Miya burps out with her usual smile that she is only a beautiful and young landlord and does not know anything about #1 nor #0 with the usual Hanya head floating in the background.

As for the single numbers, Matsu explain that Yancha(mischievous) does not equal to strength but was harder to adjust. Adding that #10 and beyond would be able to pull out their full potential.

Oh I see...and an interesting note of the "1 pillar and 107 babies" which means that there are 108 Sekireis in total including 00.

Which makes no sense whatsoever because it should come to 109.

In light of this, Miya could indeed be a clone of 00 and renamed number 1.

But that means that all the numbers would have to be shifted down a space if the highest used to be 107...

I can see how Miya could be a fake Sekirei but with great power due to being a clone of 00.

Of course she would have been brave. They were all in the same side long ago. I too wonder what it was that happened that caused the break up. After all, number 5 is with Mikogami now and so on.

I mean, each sekirei can indeed grow more powerful over time, but is Matsu really implying that these sekirei (#10 and above) are actually stronger than numbers 01 to 09? Or is she just saying this with regard to the fact that only the first nine were fully developed when they were first found?

I think what is was was because number 1-9 were at embyro stage (ie semi developed), they are harder to alter whilst the rest 10+ were still in fertilized egg form meaning that they were a lot more easy to tweek with.

i think this chapter gives credance to the theory that number = order of birth/awakening. the five shown to be the first to awaken are coincidentally numbers 1-5

the 1 pillar and 107 baby birds probably meant the 1 full-grown sekirei and the 107 "unborn" sekirei (both fetus and embryo). and going on the theory that number = birth order, the fetuses should be numbers 2-9.

going by the theory that there can only be 108 sekireis in total, akitsu might turn out to be a numbered one (the recent chapters i read refer to her as a discarded/disused sekirei, not really an unnumbered one)

and a theory on number 0: maybe everyone starts with number 0, and once a sekirei is officially born, then they get a number. number 0 in the flashback is the fully grown sekirei without a doubt but she looks like miya. so probably when she got out of the egg she got the number 1
