Two things on the epilogue ... that was the best monologue ever!

h264 sucks at en/de-coding snowflakes, as it does for scrolling text or anything moving that has a high contrast to the static background (that comes from making a ref implementation a couple of years ago)

Jokes aside, that was (as in the novel) the best conceivable way to end an amazing story ... there is still that short manga from last year, but I think it would be redundant ...

Well, I ordered the BDs from rightstuf, and they included a booklet translation!

Check it out here; I scanned the entire interview between Nasu, Takeuchi and Sakamoto.

Well, I got my box today and read the interview translation. I had no idea Nasu and Takeuchi were so involved with the making of this. I thought it would be like most other adaptations where the original creator is left out.

And should this topic be renamed? "Kara no Kyokai" is no where to be seen in this box set.

Wow the epilogue was even more boring than the OVA's. Kind of expected but it's quite an achievement.

Hmm, mixed feelings about the epilogue.

I admit it wasn't what I was expecting, 30 mins of introspective dialogue felt a bit boring.

I was actually hoping they were gonna include Gospel in the Future in the epilogue, even if it did come out years after the original novels ended. I read the first few translated volumes on Baka-Tsuki, but they had to stop translating at vol. 5 because Del Ray decided to license the novels, so I never really had any idea what the original epilogue was all about.

Spoiler:

All in all, they did a good job at closing off the series.

Now I'll just have to find some time and rewatch the movies in BD format.

It probably doesn't help when it's been a year or give or take since the last time you've watched anything KnK related too

I think that's more appropriate for a novel thread, not here. You can also try Beast's Lair.

Have you played any Type-Moon visual novels? Tsukihime and Fate/stay night will throw you threw a loop at some points.

Yes, that does not help at all. It was hella confusing and I really didn't see much point in it. While it did answer questions, they weren't ones that were critical to the story. At least we had awesome falling snow.

Is there a novel thread for this? I don't see one here or at Beast's Lair.

Probably old news for many, but Sakamoto and Suzumura finally said "yes" to each other on 8th August.
Due to this, I can't help but grin thinking about the end of 7th Movie and Mirai Fukuin. it is like a complete pairing, literally to boot
