Not ready to judge the dubs based on just the trailer alone. I do think Yui's dub sounds very good (after listening a second time to the trailer), Mio needs alittle more screentime, but she sounds OK as well. Don't know how the rest of the group will sound.

And this is once again why I utterly despise dubs. The voices are somewhat tolerable, but they are completely devoid of feeling, effectively ruining the mood and I got really queasy just listening to 30 seconds of that (at which point I could take no more and shut the video off).

Girls, I know you read that stuff from a script, but at least try to act more like the characters you're supposed to be rather than just sit there in the studio and recite your lines over and over. If the original VAs could do it, why can't you?

I agree, I think the english VA's dont even like watch the show to see what they are supposed to sound like but I'm sure they actually do watch a few episodes and they just utterly fail at trying to be their characters. As I said once and will say forever in my life span : Subs > Dubs
With a few exceptions of course...

*sigh*

This always happens whenever I post a dub trailer in this type of forum.

Let's not raise pitchforks yet until the BD comes out. It's only like what, 30 sec. of dialouge.

Don't worry, nobody is holding their feet to the fire making them watch the dubs on a bilingual DVD/BD release...

Though let's leave the elitism out of this thread, okay?

Way better than the Animax dubs, I'll buy the Blu-ray for sure.
(And watch it, i mean, how can I not? I want to see if they 'calmed it down' for 'American viewers'. Will it be shown on TV?)

This has good promise. However, you can only show so much in a trailer.

Watch a full episode, then judge.

Nodoka Manabe- Laura Bailey
Ui Hirasawa - Xanthe Huynh

Azusa's is listed as TBD (To Be Decided), and Sawako's lists the Japanese VA for some reason.

Which then begs the question, why don't they list both VA's in the first place, considering the DVD/BD will contain both English and Japanese audio?

Which is good cause I will buy them only because they have the original VA's and English Subtitles, darn my lack of understanding the Japanese language

I am actually planning on learning the language soon, like within the week probably. I keep putting it off and originally I was going to start January 1st but I kept putting it off lol.

ANYWAYS...

I will buy the DVD ( I lack a blu-ray player ) and I will most definitely show it to my future children, but only with the Japanese audio version. <3

Double checking the Sawako thing on K-ON!'s ANN encyclopedia page, I find no Sawako VA, but I do find that Shelby Lindley will be playing Tsumugi! (Her only other major role was Shamal from Nanoha A's)

And about learning Japanese, I really recommend a tutor.
Why?
These didn't work for me:
Books (Kinda helped)
Rosetta Stone (NO WAY)

I need to find a tutor here in CT, it's really hard. But look around, you may find one!

The More I watch the trailer the more pumped I get for the actual release, good or bad.
Regardless I thinks its going to be better then the Animax dub.

That bothered me a lot when I read the English manga, whenever it said "Pop Music Club" I would scream out load "Light Music Club"
