"Martabak" is rather confusing in Indonesia since we have two distinct culinary entities bearing that name that are doubtfully related with each other (but always made in the same vendors in the streets). The sweet dessert type like in the picture MUHAHAHA posted that alternatively being called "Terang Bulan" in certain places. While the more commonly called martabak being the non-dessert type, which is the one you mentioned.

Some cucumber salad I made a couple of weeks ago. It had cucumber, yellow onion, olive oil, extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, cracked black pepper, kosher salt, and spicy red pepper flakes. It was very good.
Some kabobs and rice I made a couple of weeks ago. Chicken marinated in a mango sauce on skewers with red bell pepper, yellow onion, and nectarines, and then a skewer with some shrimp. The presentation in this pic isn't all that good, but I'm uploading this because it was a rather good meal. The soup is lentil soup and it turned out great. Up there with one of the best things I've made. Easily one of the best soups or stews I ever made. It was hearty and tasted really good. The chicken was good, too. Drumsticks with some fresh thyme, and they were steamed in a frying pan with some chicken stock. I ate this today. What I upload is usually determined by presentation (how good it looks in a pic) and how good the actual dish was.

Does anyone know of a good cassoulet recipe, or a site that'd be good for cooking French food at home? I'm thinking of using duck meat for this dish, but I'm lost on the rest of it and what would make good cassoulet. I would like to make a white bean variant of it.

I often use BBC's website because there are many recipes, and the comments, level of difficulty and ratings are very helpful.

I made some traditional Chinese steamed cake today, because I have been craving for it. I used blue, yellow, orange and green for the colouring. The first batch turned out well, but I figured it would have been better if I added raspberry jam and chocolate spread. This cake is not meant to be very sweet, it's quite plain, but great for afternoon tea break. I always dip it into a cup of hot chocolate, and it's super yummy.

I'd like to start making pizza at home. I found out that the grocery store I usually go to has pizza dough you can buy (pre-made). Should I buy some pizza stones for the oven? Are they worth getting? Does it make them better? Or should I just stick with my big, metal pizza sheet?
The chicken kabobs were good. Steak kabobs are even better.

I do make a good seafood chowder when I am in the mood for cooking something that little bit different. I mostly live off chicken stirfry, minced beef, or curries, with noodles, rice or pasta when I am in college. Those are quick to make and inexpensive.
