Just got some free time to watch the entire serie.

Awesome, a true masterpiece, though the darkness of the animation really hurted my poor eyes ^^"
Light off when watching, just an advice for people with bad eyesight.

I enjoyed the end, since I'm always afraid to see such great anime screwed up in the last episodes...

Definitely approved in my top 10 animelist

i never thought of this but most part of the story vincent is trying to get to moscow and he eventually does get there however it seems like some episodes were skipt between 19 and 20 also in ep 21 re-l and vincent are already at romdeau but also it feels like some episodes were missing between 20 and 21

i know this eps were probably not necessary but it could explain somethings9maybe)

its a nice anime, although the ending wasnt as great as the beginging
still had a nice storyline, and it was nice to have a deeper, more complex anime released for the first time in a while :P
ne ways, does ne one kno what font they use?

evilplushie, if you feel like doing a bit of reading, anikimeiski's blog is very helpful in explaining all the mysteries of the series. there is a ton of analysis, so the blog entries for each episode are of a substantial length.

I know I'm late but this was an awesome anime and I eliminated 90% of my confusion by re-watching the entire series a second time. I hope the come up with a season 2, the ending was just screaming it.

The ONLY thing that I do not get no matter how many times I watch it and I go nuts wondering if I missed clue to explain my question:

About the anime, I really enjoyed it. It has a nice complex plot, great music and interesting postapocalyptic world. But I think it's ending really sucked.

Then again the rest of the series was very fine. Pino is the one of the greatest characters ever!

Pino is indeed the greatest character ever.

Community's responses to the ending seems to be divided into two extreme views. My friend forgot to give me the last four episodes of Ergo Proxy, so I hope this holiday comes fast so I can finally finish this damn show and see what this all is about. I'm really hoping that the ending is satisfactory though, since I'm loving what they're doing with Ergo Proxy so far. Aesthetics of this title is top notch.

I missed this genius anime in 2006.
But now i finally finished watching it!

What an F$"§% brillian sophisticated anime!

I LOVE IT!

Btw: I was so loled, like wtf? in episode 16, where i didn't understand first why Re-L was starring at the shaver...........i thought she would think that that thing was an VIBRATOR...........LOL............i thought she need it urgent xD............well........what an pevert idea afterall.....xD

Or at least I assume they're the same person, since they look alike with the only exception being that Ergo Proxy Vincent has the mask while Proxy 1 has no mask. Furthermore, it seems the necklace Vincent was wearing throughout the entire series did belong to him, the one with the no. I carved into it, just like XIII belonged to Monad. Once Proxy One gets baked by the sunlight and throws Vincent/Ergo his necklace back, he says he is glad that Vincent will live on to act the revenge upon the returning humans. Why is it that Vincent/Ergo is going to live? Isn't he a proxy also won't he die in the regenerated Earth? Also what's so bad about The Creators, that Ergo Proxy has to kill them all? It's been thousands of years since their abandonment, do they descendants of the creators actually deserve to be killed?

Spoiler for ergo proxy: While I found Vincent very typical and boring character (omg, I'm so emo, I'm such a monster, but I'm going to have the hottest girl in a town fell in love with me) I really enjoyed the supporting characters such as Daedalus or Raul. They had interesting motives and personalities. Too bad that the creators decided to give them so little screentime and eventaully eliminate them in a stupid way giving Vincent all the credit. And lol, the fact that Vincent didn't die is so screwed up - he was a proxy after all and according to the Heartbeat of the beginning he should die, not having a fluffy happy end instead. Then again the rest of the series was very fine. Pino is the one of the greatest characters ever!

I take things more literally than others, but I really couldn't get the concept of Vincent being "Ergo Proxy" and fighting his other self, and his role. Maybe it's because I watched this anime a year ago... but bleh, someone want to clarify for me?
