Izuru, a Wulgaru who discovered the wonders of anime and manga. DECULTURE! So he decides to sign up with the humans as a mind-wiped child soldier?

That's actually not a bad speculation, though... should 10-12 year olds really make that kind of big decisions? Assuming they were wiped at 12 ...

there is some chances of that. Jiart became irritated when he saw Izuru. Considering that it was their race who created humans for hunting, they had to know what they looked like. Unless Jiart was recognizing Izuru from something else.

My speculation is more like Izuru followed his childhood friend/gf and volunteered to become one of the soldiers to protect Earth sacrificing his heritage, identity and relationship. She came with at least one male, why not 2? After being mind wiped, he's left with a vague impression that he is a hero and that he is a human child.

If Team Rabbit found out that Izuru wasn't human, it would prob be a trust issue within Team Rabbit. So to keep that bit a secret, she can't jog his memory.

I think the anime already clearly shows us that Izuru wanting to become a hero is from his fondness of reading shounen-manga magz while in the academy, not an impression left from his past memory.

Remember the part when Teoria is explaining about a picture book to Daneel, i think the reason why she's looking at one even though she doesn't understand it is because of Izuru.

But there could be an underlying reason why he gravitated to shounen manga such as subconsciously he recognized that he's given up so much for this that he has to win, ie "be the hero".

or his desire to be a hero is what gave him a fondness for shonen manga. He just sees his idealized version of the type of hero he wants to be in them.

The manga was left in his room, most likely by the previous occupant, so he decided to read it.

As far as I know, the timeframe for them being related is out of the realm of possibility here. The first issue is that the MJP started the program they're in before Teoria made the Wulgaru threat known. The second issue is that since the AHSMB units weren't finished until mid-invasion, chances are there were only a few years of preparation. It's very doubtful that enough time passed for Teoria to have any children or otherwise.

That's not to say there's a possibility for some other event to have occurred, of course. Something that hasn't been shown yet.

It's also possible that someone could have suggested to him that he would become the hero of Earth, or something to that effect. Someone important to him in his past life. Perhaps even Teoria herself? I suspect that we'll find out before the series is over where that infatuation comes from.

But Izuru himself states that it was the manga he found that made him want to be a hero.

That's just from what he knows since his memories were erased. Perhaps subconsciously he remembered something from his past before the mind wipe that was merely brought up from reading the manga without him even realizing it. He wouldn't really recognize that because he can't remember his past anymore. He remembers Teoria over all other memories. That would likely mean that there was something significant about his past with her. Something he is desperately clinging onto despite the memory having been erased. Teoria already confirmed that they were just friends so something of significant importance must've happened.

Something specific, and only that thing, was left for each of the Fail Five. I never got the idea that it was unintentional. It was, in fact, very intentional.

an interesting thought. maybe someone like Teoria placed it to remind or motivate him of something.

I am pretty sure when she were in it she also left some porn magzines for Ataru to inspire him to become such cassanova as he is today...

Suruga is actually quite innocent when it comes to pornography, remember when Izuru showed the porn given by the leader of Team Doberman, he ran away immediately.

I don't remember any of the other members mentioning having things left in their rooms though. Just Izuru and his manga.

They didn't have own rooms. They lived together so argument that Izuru get any special treatment is invalid. Also just cause manga were mentioned doesn't mean nothing else weren't here nor that it has any actual significance aside of stated.

To be honest I don't find teenagers to have shonen manga so unlikely, nor leaving it behind for kids with same (nonexistent) experiences after graduating. It's nice and heartwarming and perfectly suited to this show and thusthere is no reason look for conspiracy everywhere.
