Kuroneko and kurokoneko! So adorable. Saori is also seen to care about her friends. Even Kyosuke calls Kuroneko seemingly thinking to invite her to go together to an activity she likes. In short, everyone is portrayed as actively caring about other people without expecting anything in return, except for Kirino. She is still lost in herself.

It is sad when siblings don't get along, but this is something I was also plagued with before I learned to practice self-reflection around the age of 15. I was ungrateful toward my family and held a deep hate for my older brother. Obviously that is no longer the case. No one is so far gone in the Shadow that they cannot return to the Light.

LOL, love this episode.

Oh the irony of Kirino raging over the Tsundere character in the eroge, who is for most part an exact carbon copy of her. She even said it herself, 100% Tsun & 0% Dere. XD

We also get to see the lives of the other 2 girls.

Kuroneko for all her fanciful dressing is for most part lives a fairly homely life, who uses anime to indulge/play out her fantasies. ^_^

Saori ... behind the bottle glasses and 80s nerd gear is an ojo-sama with a family butler and an army maids and excellent taste in "normal" wear ...

PS:
Personally I think you guys are way too hard on Kirino.
She is Tsundere, what do you expect? ><

While she is quite abusive towards Kyousuke, she does love him too - in what way though is a separate issue. >.>
She almost let it slip out during the shopping trip, not to mention he was the first person she told of her secret love of eroge. Then there is the time when Kyousuke stayed over at "neighbourhood girl"'s place, which left her fuming.

Between "hints" like the over-reaction over the pantsu in this episode, and the crazy amount of foreshadowing.
There is definitely something going on between the two - at least on Kirino's side.

Good lord, I wonder how they are going to end this. XD

What is going here?

[mod edit: Screenshots of Kuroneko's in-character playacting scene go here; photos contained name of streaming site that cannot be mentioned, so removed.]

Is she really talking to someone? Is she stating about Kyuosuke? I was wondering if she was talking about "saving" Kyousoke, and also if she meant "impossible", could be referring that she realized she is making a move on Kyousuke, because she believed he did as well. ^_^

*oh... *SAD
*it is my account from photobucket if u need to know. Can u let me how to put it then from my computer directly on the forum then? Is it possible?

I wondered if she was talking about Kyousuke at first as well just after he called her, she goes into talking about "saving him"... But then the Angel thing threw me off Maybe she was just talking about someone else.. We may never know

I'm very confuse about that, was Kuroneko was talking to herself and was actually implying to make a move on Kyousuke, or she was actually talking to someone and when she was saying "We must break Belvegolle's spell in order to save him......We must free him from the chain of his previous existance" , also "impossible" ... "You are saying the angels are making a move now", is she really implying as...

Belvegolle = Kirino (I believe... could be wrong... could actually be the situation Kyousuke put himself in or that the way his life is advancing)

ANGEL = HER (Kuroneko)

making a move now = she is actually interested in Kyousuke, perhaps falling for him, and she wants to be closer...?!?

Gosh!!! Kuroneko truly talks in riddles dont she ?! lol

What do you think she was implying about?

Initially, her reason was for her brother to better understand her, in order to help her out. At that moment in time, she was the only one that she knew who played these games, and the other otakus in class was someone she did not want to associate with.

Now, if there is another, deeper meaning to it, then maybe she is trying to get the one she likes to like her hobbies as well. Althought that line of thinking is in the red zone...

Personally, I like the turn the storyline is taking this episode. I wasn't real happy with the anime adaptation episode (derail?) in such a tight time budget. They've started a lot of story threads in 9 episodes and they keep tabling them, leaving the viewer saying "but wait, whats up with (insert story thread of choice that is hanging)?"

I'm getting the sense from research that there's quite a bit of material to work with and sometimes that hurts a series confined to 12-13 episodes if they try to tiptoe across it all.

I agree, ep9 branched in many directions with Saori, Kunoneko (both have questions marks :P ), and Kirino. Kyousuke seems to finally stand up for himeself the first time I've seen. Kirino well ... still Kirino but it was fun watching her acting like Kyousuke for a change. Saori was a surprised, but the most interesting of all is Kunoneko, I'll shall say... she is a sweetie ^_^ But her last dialog with "saving him" and "angel" just threw me off (still breaking down her riddle), wondering if she is falling for Kyousuke and will follow where her hearts leads.

12 - 13 is too short, I'm hoping that it will continued to 24 - 26 storyline, and maybe a 3rd season. The reason is, there are so many possibility the author can continue with all Characters. Think of it like Ranma , he he he he ^_^

The series will be absolute trash if they don't.

I keep denying that this is going to be 12-13 episodes, simply because I can't stand for it to end the way it's going. Of course, even if it "ends" at 12/13, it'll probably still go on for another season or two. Just gotta have faith.

Unfortunately episode 12 is the final one. But I heard BD series of OreImo to be 8 volumes. btw 2 episodes in each 1 volume. So I think there are 3~4 extra episodes.

Episode 12 is the end of the TV airing of this season, and the BD/DVD count is still a rumour. But no matter what happens, the novels are on-going and the series seems like it will sell well, so a second season is probably about as likely as it gets.

Kirino has erected a spell that keeps Kyousuke constantly wanting to protect her from the world that might put her into depression about her other self, Kuroneko thinks that Kirino might as well face these troubles herself, so breaking the spell from Kyousuke will help this.

No idea what this meant.....

Some other girl is making a move on Kyousuke?

Eheh, maybe they have been distant from one another since young age - allowing for the growth of the Westermarck effect. Then you have Genetic Sexual Attraction and voilá, incest!

T'is one sided it seems though

Which would mean that Kirino was present for the first six years of Kyousuke's life, but not vice versa. Their great secret revealed!

No, a rumor became real.
http://www.oreimo-anime.com/package/index.html

And look at the page of volume 7 & 8. You can find the item "2話収録" (2 episodes contained)

What a efficient business.

Plus, I agree that popularity of this series in Japan make sure the second season.

It should be said, at the time when I wrote that comment, the rumour had not yet been confirmed. Now, indeed, it has been.
