mostly most close to oz will die... so he will get to the will of abyss... and make a deal... get that girl out and take her place.... he will sacrafice himself and repair the dmg done by jack... so all those who died will live but only Oz will remain inside abyss forever

Just to spice up the discussion aspect of this thread a bit..reading through vol 17 has me wandering what the rest of you guys think of Lacie and Jack's relationship.

Side-note: I despair at the notion of Alice never making the front cover of any volume until quite possibly the last volume since whoever decides this kind of stuff has seen fit to leave me dangling by putting in whoever else in that spot instead..even Lily made it in soon after her intro. =__=

Let me get this straight, Echo is actually an artificial personality and Noise, aka Zwei, is the real contractor? And her chain's name is actually called Doldee, while what we thought was Doldum is Doldee's name for Echo?

Furthermore, what we thought was Echo the sane contractor becoming Noise the unstable contractor who controls a chain is actually completely reversed -- "Echo" the chain is attempting to moderate "Noise" the mentally unstable contractor.

It took me a few reads before figuring this out, but anyone else has an opinion on this?

It's pretty bad(for Echo). Whereas Oz started as his own being, Echo is not independent of Zwei. Only way Echo will survive all the way is if Noise gets permanently incapacitated in a manner that allows Echo to retain control.

Didn't expect Echo and Oz's position to be so fundamentally similar after her remark to Oz but her reveal almost makes me wish it was done before the whole epic flashback arc to hint at Oz's own mystery but it might have lessen Oz's big reveal once everyone realizes how similar they really were.

It seemed a little out of place to suddenly delve into Echo's back story, but once we got to those final panels, it all fit together. Whether or not Ada is really dead, this result came immediately from Noise/Zwei's envy. I think the flow of the story/shock from Ada's state would have been messed up if we had been given this information sooner.

That being said, I'm curious as to what Zwei will do once (if) she discovers Vincent's wish. Put a stop to Glen? I'm hoping Vincent will be one of the characters to make it out in the end; he's such a tragically flawed character, I want him to find peace. Either way, the depth of each character (and the insane plot twists) is definitely what makes this series for me.

Yeah, waiting a month between cliffhangers. I sometimes let the chapters accumulate for a while or it'll drive me crazy.

The mangaka really seems to like to introduce new characters and even FACTIONS so close to the end of the manga, that it seems a bit disconnected. I still like the manga anyway but it really is becoming a bit confusing.

And Gil now has the ability to sense when Oz is Oz or Jack is in control of Oz's body. Pandora seems to be divide between those who believe in Jack's words and believe he is a hero and those who have side with Glen and know the truth and believe it. Glen after dispatching of Jack's believers is now heading to the place where it all began, Sablier. Judging from Ada's words and actions, she is like Gil, Oscar, Alice, Break and Eco on Oz's side. __________________

Oswald's predecessor ( I never did catch his romanji name..) was spot-on that Jack's 8 year chase of Lacie definitely moved her enough to lie to him about her imminent death. (I wish it was just only Oz and Alice in bed though.) So it looks like Pandora (Although, I believe it's most likely Glen's idea) plans on using Break, Sharon and her grandmother as hostages to force Oz to return to Pandora. If Oz does not return by sunrise of the next day they plan on killing the hostages one by one strating with Break. And it appears as though, Rufus may be on Oz's side!!! Spoiler for Chapter 84: Glen, Rufus, and Vincent are in Sablier, when out of nowhere Glen attacks Rufus. Apparently, Glen took Rufus with him to Sablier with the intention on questioning him on what he (Rufus) is planning and believing him to be dangerous to leave at Pandora. It is revealed that Rufus not only helped Reim escape from Pandora but gave him a box which holds a, "Keep sake." Spoiler for Jack and my woes: I used to love Jack and thought he was a pure character like Oz except wiser and more powerful. BUT NOOO!! The plot-twists are amazing, I'm just so sad he turned out like this because I look up to characters like that

And judging from the last page of the chapter 89, Noise (out of jealousy) kidnapped and killed or is the process of killing Ada (Oz sister). I wonder how Oz will deal with Echo/Noise? __________________
