The only game I play on the Wii with the GC controllers is Super Smash Bros.
Everything else is Wiimote.
And you know, it's actually pretty comfortable. Mysterious...

I just got one!
First thing I noticed is the gamepad is small and light. Don't know, it feels more like a DS3 than a 360 controller in my hands. Definitely not designed for people with big hands in mind.
Question now is, should I surrender my life and get MH3U or not..

66k in Feb, must've been a few more returns that month.

Game and Wario coming June 30th so Pikmin and Wonderful World probably after that, Rayman pushed back so it can get released on 360/ps3 at the same time, amazing delivery of launch window titles.

I played a Wii U game for the first time last week. NSMBU. It was actually really fun, once I got accustomed to the gamepad. Then again, I have never played any of the other games in that series, so it didn't feel repetitive to me, even though it is. When I get a Wii U, I might just get it.

Personally I'm not buying a WiiU until my favorite franchise games come out. Since there is no 3D Mario, Zelda, Metroid, or Smash Bros, I'll wait.

Earthbound (Mother 2) coming to WiiU VC and for the first time officially being released in europe!
This was shown at the NA and EU ND just about an hour ago. Not sure, but you can probably find some videos uploaded by nintendo later today on youtube and on eshop.
Other than that no real news about WiiU titles, apart from that panorama view software, but then again it was announced as a 3DS centered nintendo direct.
Just remember pikmin 3 was featured during the stream and the Luigi DLC for New Super Mario Bros.

Are they already making plans for a Wii-U2 when the first one barely came out? Or is this like a DS vs DS Lite vs DSi type of thing (basic hardware improvements, bigger size, more user-friendly implementations)?

Pikmin 3 finally has a release date, July for Japan and August for America, dat launch window release date.

Zelda could be a long way off, Smash Bros is having some issues, what his name can't even test the game at the moment, no Metriod announced so far.

But yeah a Wii U Zelda seems like it's still in the conceptual stage, which is why Windwalker HD is set for the end of the year and Link to the past 2 for 3ds. That Nintendo direct that focused on the Wii U was just throwing shit at the wall, no matter how far off it was.

We might not have X in English until late 2014, maybe even 2015 depending on when it comes out in Japan.

Zelda... 2015...

Fire Emblem x SMT... again 2015... if it comes out in the first half of 2014 in Japan..

Just a HD update, knowing Nintendo it will be like the 3dS OOT remake and not have much else, though rumors about Master Quest and some more added stuff, but I think that's mostly hope from some nintendo fans.

The new update for the Wii U should be out now, bringing us version 3.0.0. The update itself should be 703MB in size.
The following changelog is based off Nintendo Australia's latest system update information page (3.0.0E [Europe]), but it should be the same for the U.S. and Japan versions as well.
