Very good episode. The hand soap scene was my favorite part for some reason.

fantastic episode! the tigers pit arc was one of my favorites from the manga, so finally seeing it animated was a real treat. the hina & sonia fight, hayate unleashing his ultimate technique and the church exploding were the best parts IMO.

Wataru's special skill is quite impressive.

And thus next week a new arc begins. This episode had to be the best of the season so far though, and I was pretty much happy with the atmosphere.

I am glad Father makes an appearance, he was freaking hilarious, and I think he will be around for a little bit longer than this ep.

I'd expect an Ayumu styled ending next week.

also, Im pro Hina and pro Ayumu, i just happen to be a little more pro Hina, ut either one of them getting screen time is good for me.

I like the little details here

Like, having Hina use the familiar "Hayate-kun" when talking to Nagi, and then switching down to "Ayasaki-kun" when determinedly denying to have come to help him ^_^

This is the first time ever that she actually turns tsundere, where she otherwise always has been straightforward and open so far. Hayate should be proud

Did the music improve in this anime? There seems to be more variety. Isumi is amusing in this episode. It's kinda strange how she and Wataru don't meet up even though their at the same location. I wished they would have given the priest black hair, but I guess brown works too. It looks like Hina will be acting a bit "different" for quite a while now

Hayate's special skill, unluckiness. I wonder who's more unlucky, Hayate or Toma from Index.

Nope. These are all tracks from the first season. I think the second half of the first season didn't use as many of the tracks it had though, so....

I felt bad for Isumi because of her heroine speech this episode.

They're doing better with the humor this episode, in my opinion.

Speaking of which, Hampster wasn't in this episode... I don't remember seeing her at least. DAMMIT! This broke her 'garenteed screentime' streak.

Someone said to me that the hair on that wheel demon resembled Ayumu's... Perhaps that was it? <--Ehh.....
Or the preview?
Or has her perfect attendance really ended?

This has easily been the best episode of the second season. Not one of favorite arcs, as I really didn't enjoy the manga version. But episode 3 really brought back some of the charm of the first season that I felt the first 2 episodes of the second season were missing. A lot of funny parts and hopefully this is a return to the first season's charm.

Oh wow, I just realized Sephiroth's sword was called Masamune. *facedesk*
I have to stock up on my trivial anime/game facts once more.

It was just a suggestion I made, I don't think it was a Sephiroth parody. If it was, they would have made it more obvious by having Hina's sword the same rediculous length as Sephiroth's.

I'm still wondering if that was a Guyver parody at the end, when Hayate killed the robot.

It's still a pretty good suggestion. Even if Masamune is a common name to give to a katana in anime (uh... not really, tbh)

I'm thinking that was a Guyver parody as well. I just don't remember it all too clearly.
