You're right here. The was a big contrast between the characters and the backgrounds, maybe because the backgrounds were too dark or the characters were too light in color?

It has not really started yet. Only one episode has aired as an promotional thing. The rest of the series starts in fall I believe

well, it was supposed to have aired yesterday in the timeslot formerly held by Ergo Proxy... but there is no new RAW... i guess this is because we've already seen episode 1? i had actually wondered if an OP would show up or if that will be in episode 2... guess i'll have to wait for next week

A video file whose audio component is in the original language in which the video was produced and originates from that video. In the case of Le Chevalier d'Eon , it's Japanese. If subtitles are present, it is also from the original video and not from a fansub group source. Raw sources, can be TV, DVD, laser discs, streaming broadcasts and VHS.

France is quite beautiful in ep01

and i love that they are sticking pretty closely to the history

they do take some license, like certain characters alive earlier than they would have been... but they got the zombies right lol

i wonder if they will go down into the catacombes and the old sandstone quarries (they were doing a lot of building and infrastructure down there around this time)

EDIT: i want to clarify also for earlier post... i was not asking where to dl a file or if anyone had it... but because animesuki doesn't track raws, i find it difficult sometimes to find raws... i thought the name of the raw provider might help me, that's all

Oh yeah, zombies. xD While I was watching the episode, I was like "okay, here we've got another blond prettyboy with a sister complex, yawn... okay, so secret police and secret societies... even the queen? This is certainly interesting... huh? Zombies? YAY zombies! <3"

But as for creative licences... The creators apparently went through great trouble to maintain realism, but some mistakes slipped by. Like, there are so many women with their hair down... no sign of wigs... people kneeling in typical Japanese fashion instead of courtseying. But anyway, these are just nitpicks, otherwise I found the story quite interesting and fun.
