Surprisingly, this is a perfect italian. The lyrics it is, but the way they sing it is horrible.

So Shikata's composition is somewhat perfect? I'm kind of amazed. Though, I do recall reading somewhere they some of the other languages that she used were written perfectly as well.

I frankly doubt it hasn't been checked by a native speaker, or by someone that knows the language very very well. I've rarely seen such a perfect lyrics in a foreign language in japanese songs.

However the text doesn't fit with the music, in fact the singers are doing a lot of awkward pronunciations, the accents are all wrong, the syllabification is messed up. The one that made the lyrics most probably didn't know the music.

EDIT: Managed to fix the problems I had with music and sound effects whose filenames were in JP, I will now replay all the episodes to full appreciate what I missed out on :P


One thing I love to do is get one of the rain sound effect files and loop it along with stupefaction. Makes for a good atmosphere somehow, considering how mysterious stupefaction sounds.

zts outdid himself again in this track. The music went perfectly with the scene it was played in. It was truly the theme for anti-mystery vs anti-fantasy.

エンドレスナイン
I would describe this as Battler's requiem. A finishing theme that fits him very much. It was worth restraining myself to not to listen to it before I play the game. I was also surprised dai-san is the one who composed this. Although I swear I can hear Microsoft Sam here.

599 million ruins
I liked this very much for it gives the feeling of a hidden mystery. I should mention its other version 600 million ruins. It gives the feeling of an "end" (particularly because it's also the last track.

I loved this music, though remembering the scene is a bit painful.

discode
A fitting music for an ending. If the ending wasn't like that, I don't if it would have fit. Anybody has the lyrics and translation for this song?

I was browsing around the umineko website and I saw that there was a new update for today, along with a few other things I've missed. I don't know if this has been posted on animesuki or not, but I'm just going to go ahead and post it here. Whatever. \o/

ENDING THEME
The ED theme for the anime has been announced! It's called la divina tragedia～魔曲～ (the divine tragedy~demon song~) and it will be sung by Jimangu. The release date for the CD is September 16th. I can't wait to hear how this sounds!


DRAMA CD VOL. 1
The first drama CD has been announced and will be released on June 24th.
It will feature the entire anime cast and will follow the events of Episode 1.
What a great way to tease fans before releasing the anime.


DRAMA CD VOL. 2
The second drama CD has also been announced and will be released on July 23rd.
Again, it will feature the entire cast and will follow Episode 2 of the series.

It also looks like Shikata Akiko, singer of the OP for both the anime and the original sound novels, will be releasing another Umineko-related album (Fantasia Healing) on October 19th. (or maybe it's a regular album rofl. EITHER WAY, IT'S BEING RELEASED).

It has been confirmed that Dai will be working on the soundtrack, but if I remember right it has not been confirmed that any other compositors from the game will work with the OST

I forgot the source but someone said that dai indicated in his blog that the works of the other composers will be included in the anime, and dai will be directing like in the game.
