No, I am saying most mangas are aimed for younger readers, but the same could be said for most anime and novels. Does not mean I will not watch them. I watch Death Note next to Lucky Star, Darker Than Black next to Seto no Hanayome.

If it is good, I will watch it, no matter what age it is targeting.

Saw Ayano's ep 6 rampage...all in all thats how she fights if she can focus the rage she will be a bit less...umm...raging/chaotic 0-o

Kazuma is a bad ass character type whos deeper than most I really have not gotten a"feel" for him yet I like the show but for me its missing something to be "great".

I saw Shakugan no Shana and loved it from the first min,I guess a iffy opening can throw me off that or summer has "already" fried my brain...that or I prefer "lite" shuonen stuff like Kekkaishi more I love the opening and ending prefect fit for the show.

Props to all the fan subers that do better work than most domestic corporations!

meh they wape "to us TV anime" in the states for young viewers they also are rather heavy handed with manga translations even those that are not "kiddie" between the censors and americanizers I have pretty much given up wasting my money on "domestic" stuff, and since I am stupid (cant read Japanese) I dun import much.

All in all for games and anime I spend money on the stuff thats worth while to me..and I am one fickle SOB.

Oh for the day they put Jp audio tracks in with the En tracks in games so I can skip the lame poor attempts at dubbing...altho MGS and FF12 are not so badly dubed...still tho 1% or less of games seem to have solid En voice work....

Well, I do plan on reading the novel side by side the airing of each episode... so the comparison I make somewhat becomes a 'narrative' form of what really happens in the novel... but of course I can't help but skip on some other stuff because I don't have all the time in the world to go about deciphering all of it to the nitty gritty stuff >< (and also because my japanese is not really really good that I can read the novel in one 'sitting' - TONS of times I look up the dictionary... can't survive without it) =___=

rest assured that I'll keep a keen eye on "juicy stuff" in the novel, and report about it in my blog (as I read it each week :P)

its a bit cliche but works well ^^

We basically agree, lol. Even though my reason for watching/reading anime/manga is purely for mindless entertainment, as very few series have any kind of other redeeming features.

So in that sense, it's good if it doesn't bore me.

Even so, I wasn't arguing against them in the first place.

I can see it now they meet after 5 or 8 years and Ayano has become a sword wlieding version of Margery Daw(hard drinking simi battle freak) .....LOL

yeah... this series is not that 'dark' =P
GONZO will get even more flamed than they already are now if they do that! (screwing up the ending of more animes >P)

Well here's what I thought about this episode.

I guess expecting Kazuma to just land and fight was hoping for much, but did Ayano consider what might happen by jumping off a building? She did realize she can't fly right? Either that or she was actually expecting Kazuma to save her from falling which he did. It was a shorter fight then I imagined, though really it was just her jumping at him and hitting his wind barrier with all she could muster. I knew she would use her ultimate defence, "Ren Barrier!".

I knew Misao would own her family pretty easily but this was just pathetic. They didn't even get a scratch. Which in turn Misao after being involved in the deaths of hundreds didn't have enough power to scratch Kazuma. It was hard seeing her being broken down like that by Michael who I believe explained that he was using her. Though their combined giant dragon wasn't a bad move since it was tough to handle.

Go Ren! Anyone who was complaining about his abilities should look at this episode. He really did a great job covering Kazuma, and fighting the dragon by himself while those two had....their moment. Tentacles, the bloody thing had to have tentacles. The guys in charge of this series really are a bunch of perverts, I half expected Ayano to be 'caught' for a few moments and then being rescued.

Also fighting complaints Ayano has picked up her fighting style so anyone who was unhappy with her just swinging the sword around could relax. We had fireballs, line of fire, and even firing a shot without summoning Enraiha. Thankfully they shortened the summoning a little bit, though they made her summon it a couple times so its the same I guess. Are they reading the forums or something? They even threw in Kazuma getting wounded, sure it was from protecting Ayano but he still got hurt.

They did have a nice moment. She gave Kazuma some confidence back and he embarassed her with the hug. Catching her and then from her complaining dropping her into the trees was funny enough. Good finishing by boosting up the power of Enraiha and getting her up there. With his wounds it was probably a better idea to let her do most of the work on this one.

Jealously survives, when Kazuma gets too friendly with a nude Misao (well she had Kazuma's jacket but still) she comes running in. Restraint really doesn't work with her, going in with the sword in such a situation. At least we understand why he cared about Misao now. I know he had a tough past but just seeing what he had to live with makes me glad some of those guys are getting killed off. Knowing he can't protect himself from the blames and intentionally burning him....that's just cruel.

Almost thought that usagijen was talking about the little hug from this episode. Though mostly it was him collapsing onto her, but it brought up the embarrassment none the less.

Well guess that's enough. Just my thoughts on the episode. Thought it was a really good one.

the main arc isn't really finished yet... and the last volume (volume 6) released was way back 2005 >_< (from what I've seen, volume 6 doesn't really end in a cliffhanger... there are just some things left unresolved (though I have yet to know how 'open' ended it was))

the short stories on the other hand (Kaze no Stigma Ignition), currently has 3 volumes (with a 4th volume coming out this june)... and there are two upcoming RPG novels as well

it's more like... they decided to spend almost all their budget on Bokurano and RxJ, then alloted a puny bit of the budget for KnS TT___TT

I can tolerate the poor animation quality... but it just doesn't do this series justice... >.>

Spoiler for episode 7: Ayano attacks Kazuma but is saved by him, Misao exterminates her family but is too weak to damage Kazuma. Michael appears and turns himself and Misao into a dragon, Kazuma pulls the God Flame move on Ayano's sword using his contract, and they kick ass and chew bubble gum. Highlights: Kazuma saving Ayano... twice. Ayano's "perfect plan" to stop Kazuma by using Ren. Misao offing her relatives while Kazuma was counting down. Ren actually fighting the dragon solo at one point and doing some damage. A couple of new moves for Ayano. More gratuitous panty shots, and more nekkid Misao. Michael Harley the pervert. Turned out to be pathetically weak by the way. Kazuma and Ayano's little speech about how she'll turn out to be a good wife or something like that. They shortened the Enraiha summoning scene. Maybe the animators read this thread Chibi Misao protecting chibi Kazuma (ten years ago).

XD okey ayano tires to stop kazuma but instead nearly ends up as ayano pancake because kazuma used his teleporting haxx ~ but heres the first point! he saves ayano and she is "touched" (just look at her face XD) the perfect defense against kazuma...REN BARRIER!!!! i just duno what to think of ayano...is she cute or just plain dumb XD? kazuma doing his countdown was awesome...3...2...1... misao comes out and attacks but there is no way she is getting through kazuma's defense ~ Michael comes out and bam! he breaks the truth to misao and then turns her into a dragon...and what he said there was exactally the same as what the guy who killed kazuma's past love said... the fight ~ ayano tries to kill the dragon but falls into a bad positin due to carelessness...and thinking about why kazuma cares for misao so much...kazuma is injured so he tells ayano to carry on fighting (omg hug!!! ) speeding along kazuma releases his contract and gives some of that power to ayano...super charged enraiha! :3 Michael dies and kazuma tries to take care of the nekkid misao O.o but like that ayano will ever let that happen the past is revealed as misao once saved kazuma...so it has nothing to do with love or has it? __________________ Siggy: hohohohoho~ \| AnimeHistory welcome to our blog ~ \| Summer2009 early review Under the radar series Summer2009: Kanamemo, GA Geijutsuka Art, NEEDLESS
