Finally watched "Scott Pilgrim against the world". Didn't exactly match my expectations after people hyping it so much, but overall still fun.
The effects are really nice to look at like the punches or how the enemies just explode into coins. I even recognized some levels from the game~ |

5cm per second: t'was a really touching series of short stories about a young couple who were forced to separate but whose hearts always remained close. It's made of three stories, the first and last telling of the main character's feelings for the girl he came to eventually love after she transferred to another school. The second part takes place after the boy moved to another place himself, becoming further distant from the girl he loves. This is told from the pov of a third party, a girl who had a crush on him despite the fact he was smitten with his now childhood friend.
The movie was very emotional and dramatic, particularly in the beginning as it showed quite how deeply connected the boy and the first girl were to each other. I won't spoil the details of that just yet. I also really liked how the second short story was told from a third party's pov because it gave the audience the chance to see how the main character's love for someone now living far away from him would affect someone close to him. The ending was really sad and to me slightly inconclusive because the boy and the first girl never saw each other in the end, and the boy sadly drowned in the sorrows and regrets of his past. I really felt for him too because when you love someone that deeply but are forced away, you tend not to think of anything else after a while. I was also sad that she was moving on with her own life but still held memories of him. 8/10 |

Red Dragon. Oh yes, Lecter. It has been some time since our latest meeting. You never fail to disappoint. Nor did the titular character. And oh god the music in harmony with the scenes. And oh god Norton I love you too.

I just watched "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" and all I have to say is that it was a ridiculously AWESOME film! For starters, I don't think there's been a movie that made me laugh this hard for a very long time. Not even The Hangover was this good. But there was also a lot of character development and even with the video game thing that's recurring throughout the film, you can relate a lot of real life stuff to what's happening here. Quite brilliant! 9.5/10

Just watched The Green Hornet in 3D yesterday The movie was ok; fight choreography is standar, nothing too spectacular. I think I liked the TV series with Bruce Lee better though, because unlike Jay Chou, he actually knows martial arts. They do kind of look similar in some ways though.

Man it's time I watched that film again... Last non-anime movie I saw was Lebanon. I don't ever want to go to war, but I especially don't want to go to war stuck inside a tank.

Despicable Me - Super Villain to Super Dad, nothing outstanding on the whole but great famliy fun to be had. Me wants a army of Minions!
The Longest Day - 1st time I saw this film was way back when I was skipping school, I think when I was about 11. I liked War time movies even at that age and well I was amazed by this one. Even today I think I'd say it's still my favorite War time film, altho Band of Brothers is my favorite War time series. Saving Private Ryan has got the beach landing, The Longest Day had this First 1min 50 secs is just simply the best piece of Cinematography for any war movie ever!
