Yea... haven't done so hot m'self. So, I decided to play less the past couple of days in order to re-focus and re-think. Also, played the AI again just to get a different (and same) perspective from when I started.

Tough break for her. Japan isn't as anti-smoking as the US is, right? It seemed slightly more acceptable for people to smoke, especially in public places.

Especially in New York, smokers are having a more difficult time finding places to light up, with restaurants and bars now being entirely non-smoking.

And is it just me, or do players who have their rate numbers (R####) displayed tend to get lucky breaks from Tenhou? Pisses me off.

They always get that convenient ippatsu or tsumo so that their precious fucking rate doesn't get tarnished.

How often do other people see multiple kan's resulting in Rinshan Kaihou? It's far easier in 3p (the link below) but it seems odd that I rarely see others pull it off.

After I posted my last results here, whining about my pitiful riichi rate, I decided to be a bit more adventurous and go for it.

In the past, I was on all-defensive, forgoing my own hands even if it's good because someone else riichi first.

And now with a more adventurous spirit, finally! I'm back where I was!
