Just finished the anime and thought it was great.

Just want to ask a question, I've searche for something like this but didn't it.

What volumes of the novels that are covered by the first and second season of the anime?

Hmm...not sure. I think I've heard that the first season covered vol I-VI. So then we could guess that season 2 did the same, as in covered up to vol XII. But there is quite a bit of anime-original material put in both seasons.

Someone who actually knows, please answer.

I think you can look that up on animenewsnetwork or baka-tsuki, I remember pm'ing a similar question to another user about that, thinking that the volumes were already further than the anime adaptations of season 1 and 2. I will get back to you once I have these pms recovered or remember.

Yuri? Did you possibly mean Johan? Yes, they are both characters that are in the novel.

Series 1 should cover up to Novel 7, with particular elements of 8 and 9 integrated into the storyline.

It's fairly close, in my opinion. Sure, there is some additional anime exclusive content lying around in some parts in particular, but as far as I can tell, there was nothing from the novels that seemed heavily distorted.

Does anybody know the name of the piano piece that plays in season 2 episode 18 at about the 15:00 mark, when Kazumi's buying stuff and Shana's visiting Yuji's mom? If anybody could tell me, it'd be greatly appreciated. I love the sound of the piece so much. ^_^

I either haven't been looking closely enough when I watched S2 back then, but... Does anyone have any idea what was that "Taimei Shinhen" thing Bal Masque was talking about? At first I thought it was an alternate name for the Silver(happens when you watch it in a frenzy, not making sense of what happened at first and making mistakes), but then I realised it it was refered to as some song thing(a spell, perhaps?) when I recently rewatched.

So, is there more information on what it is and it's purpose?

Taimei Shihen is translated as Psalm of the Grand Order, a spell which Bal Masque needs along with the Reiji Maigo to accomplish some big task. This big task wasn't covered yet, but I think it is freeing the Snake of the Festival, which is the true leader of Bal Masque. Powers... hmm, nothing specific was shown, but it seemed like it was powerful even in parts (a part of the Psalm was inserted by Sabrac into the Reiji Maigo), so I can assume it is a very high-level spell.
