That's not the voice she's going to have in the anime, that's the CD drama. VA for the anime is Aoi Yuki.

Actions scenes looks quite good, but I am sad they changed how Visha looks. She looks like an entirely different character compared to the LN version.

I think this could be a role where she could really "go to town" and throw herself into it lock, stock and barrel - something she does not often get the chance to do.

But then again, I must admit to be very biased regarding her VA skills and work/performances in the past.

I remember the novel mentioning them in the first fight against the northern alliance (pretty much the prologue of the story), and never afterwards. Considering the way the pv is done, this is probably that precise scene. The blue and red soldiers are french soldiers btw, so those scenes with them are from the Rhine war front. Brown uniforms are the northern alliance logically. The PV switch from scene of the first Rhine front encounters with Visha and her small squad to the first battle in Denmark, where she's still alone (if you look at the moment she's charging the horse like platform, Visha and the other members are not here) before switching back to Rhine front with Visha saving a soldier.
Pretty sure the northern technology for flying is different from the french/german empire technology at the beginning of the war, and those are that.

Really? Could you point out where in the light novel it said that? I've read it several times already, but I don't believe they "rode" into battle on anything other than utilizing the Operational Orbs given to fly.

Does youjo = 幼女 have any negative associations to it in the Japanese language? Wiktionary translation says it means "little girl" (hence the direct title "Little Girl Saga"), but image searches give pictures implying underage porn (ie little girls in sexually compromising situations).

Well, first episode of the anime is out.
Not giving any spoilers, but for the most part, i was kinda disappointed by it.
Yes, some changes probably need to be made to turn the series into anime, but some of the changes were not necessary, and made the scenes worse than they were in the book.

Combat especially was bit of a letdown, and the episode fails at showing just how awesome Tanya is.

Minor (barely even a) spoiler though, in which i actually praise the anime

I really loved that last smile Tanya did, if they start building on that and the first episode is just used to setup the scene, then maybe this anime will do the novels justice

All in all, i liked this, does not live up to the novels, but that is a fairly high bar to go over, and taken on its own seems like worth watching.
