Just remember, don't transcode from MP3 to Vorbis... that will be less than desirable quality. Rip it yourself

Yeah, I made that mistake a few times and couldn't figure ioutr why it sounded tinnier than a small schoolboy with a tin drum and tin drumsticks XD.
You gotta have the original file for it to sound anything like CD quality...you can't like take a 128kbps encoded compressed audio file and then try and rip it to a full working and CD quality WAV...it just won't work XD

I won't even bother with this.
Hmm..ok not all new, but for example iRiver SlimX iMP-550 CD/MP3 supports ogg after a firmware update. Those that cost $$$ usually support firmware updates and if codec changes you can update firmware!

Unlike most similar players, the 550 can play both Ogg and MP3 formats, instead of having to choose which firmware to install.
So in future I suggest doing some research before posting comments

Sorry, I'm all about MP3 until Apple supports OGG on the best portable music player in existence, the iPod. LAME VBR sounds great, and I don't mind the added file size. Plus MP3s seem to have more detailed and extended tagging abilities. I can listen to OGG in iTunes, but I like to be able to carry my music with me.
