I never said I'd want to use it...I simply think it looks badass.

My favorite beam saber, though, is Kampfer/Nu's beam katana.

The rest of it is nice, great level of detail (well, it's a PG...) and it looks as though it's based on the Akutsu design right before Okawara's animation clean-up.

I'm not too keen on the shield though, what's the point of having a broken shield? :P
Broken shield? You mean that yellow spike that is in the middle and the gaps to its sides? Those tips look like they're meant to be planted into the ground to let the suit use it during ground combat. The slot in the top is for it to use to see out of; that is a silly design, IMHO.

It looks broken, that was what I meant :P

Sort of like the GM shield in 0080/0083, it had these "spikes" on the side but nothing like that - it looks like a chunk of the shield got blown off!

This is NOT worth buying. My friend bought it and i took a look at it.
I prefer the MG Aile Strike.

Also, Bandai will be releasing these soon:
1. MG Justice 1/100
2. MG Providence 1/100
3. MG Duel, Buster, Blitz and Aegis (however, this will NOT be very soon. around feb/march 2005)
3. Gundam seed Destiny Models.
(also, many people are saying they will be releasing 1/100 models of raider, Calamity and Forbbidden, but it may NOT be true)
They did not release any announcements of releasing any more PG for Seed.

If you're visiting Japan, pick up the models locally, if that is at all possible. This PG one was on sale for 20% for about 12,000 yen (or less), and the PG Zeta Gundam model goes for less than 15,000 yen. Still expensive, but when you see that HLJ.com sells Zeta for 20,000 yen, picking one up, especially if you want [to give] one while you're here already isn't a bad deal, IMHO.

And the shield is not broken in the sense that there's pre-made battle damage. It is like a GM-type of a shield, however.

The sword is also made of some metal of sorts - aluminum most likely. Articulation looks excellent on the display model that I saw; I didn't notice any visible screws or bolts that keep everything in place for the pose.

Grandslam (the sword) can double as a letter opener then.

Scans of the assembly booklet :-

To make things sound more tempting, this set will comes with a DVD of Gundam Evolve 8 featuring Strike.

As much as I orgasm at the thought of perfect grade models....

$50+ bucks for one is not allowable by my budget

I wouldn't bother buying one until they release the weapon packs like they did with the other 1/60 scale Strike Gundam.

So, is the sword made of metal? I'm guessing it's plastic.

Soon. Some of of those proposed models are not that popular even counting on Seed's popularity. I could see a MG Justice or a Providence. Aegis maybe too complex for them to make a MG. Blitz isn't that popular. The 1/100th version was released very late during Seed's run. That doesn't bode well for a MG release. The Buster wasn't really that popular. The MG line doesn't really have a complete run on the mecha. They at one time proposed to have the gundams from G Gundam, but those plans were scrapped. I wouldn't count on Bandai releasing the Druggie's Gundam in 1/100th scale, since they would have by now. Bandai most likely has directed their attention to Destiny. We probably won't hear about a new PG until Fall of 2005.

A message from a fan girl next to me...

Right now a Fan-girl returned from japan has a few words she wants to say. Here it goes... (sits back and lets her have it...)

Got one~~!!! ^___________^ At a great price too -- 30% off the RRP -- which means I got it somewhere around US$100. And people who love maneouverability in their gundam models should love this!! The leg action on this thing is damn impressive!!

(Returns to the keyboard...) That's all for the public announcement. You should all now pelt rotten tomatoes at her because she's now sitting back and laughing at all you people who have to pay more plus shipping. Remember, this is not me who is doing this!!

Who wants to bet that they'll release a PG Sky Grasper with all 3 Strike Packs later on ?

I'm willing to bet my soul on this.

And thereafter, a PG Strike Rouge with the final IWSP Pack.

Meh, I don't like PG Strike's small redesign they did. Though if they just left it normal, there'd be nothing to really seperate it from the already existing 1/60 Strike.

Those look pretty awesome.

Anyone know of any good online shops that ship to Europe? I was thinking of having my parents give me an MG for Christmas but Gundamshop.com seems to be down.
