I don't know what to say..... on 1 hand, i don't like Masahiro action and way of thinking but it understandable why he act like this. And **** KAdel and Gusion, Hope Mika and Barbatos sink it next ep. Better yet, let akihiro and Graze sink it
It seem like there is an Image of Alma crying in the next ep, so McGillis Sortie in the next ep ??? |

Well there goes Masahiro ....and pretty sure he's dead with the title of next week's episode. The action was nice but I really hope they give Aina a more credible role in future episodes. Mika is still impressive as ever in combat

That was one epiv battle, to be honest I can't remember any other in this franchise that good. Masahiro dying was quite effective, more than killing someone named from tekkadan at this point.
And I really hope, Gusion will be either destroyed or sent to Teiwass, sure Eugen deserve MS to show more badassery than he can now (which is still plenty), but we don't need two Gundams now. PS: where is poll, I can't give it 10/10 without it!

Considering how Masahiro was introduced and how quickly he was killed, I honestly felt nothing. It is so predictable that you just know the MS hugging scenes will end with someone dying.
I wish that they had focus more on Akihiro's hypocrisy, you know, telling about Masahiro he can have a new family while Mika killing his old "family"left and right. It is no surprise that Masahiro went crazy. Mika is badass, but honestly at this point he's pretty bland and zero development. He stays the same character as the 1st episode while Orga getting lots of development and interactions. I hope that will change soon

(If IBO was three cours long instead of two, I'd be all for them exploring that particular conundrum. Alas, I guess some things have to simplified for the sake of time.) I think Masahiro's dialogue implied pretty heavily that he wasn't as close to the other boys as it first seemed. It would be in line with his nihilistic way of thinking, to close himself off emotionally from the other boys who worked with him. If family for him consisted of only "Mum, Dad and [Akihiro]", it would stand to reason that he had no real emotional attachment to the others. In a way, that sets up a very interesting parallel between the brothers- Akihiro managed to outgrow his issues of considering Tekkadan family, Masahiro didn't. Why? Because Masahiro's group had no effective leader to unify them. I have a feeling that they're saving an exploration of Mika's ruthlessness for the second half of the show. Next ep: It appears that Orga and Kudelia are planning something together. And why is Almiria crying? Last edited by mweloo; 2015-12-20 at 10:27. |

I'm sad to say, but action is definitely not IBO's forte. The series is still great, and its probably the best character-driven Gundam series I've seen, but it had to have a weakness and it seems to be in its actions.
The first couple of fights were good, but the last ones have been lacking in impact. So, while the action is still far better than stuff like G-Reco, it pales in comparison to the drama and characters presented in the show. Just sayin'. Quote:

Ok we see cars everyday, but ask your mom anything technical and i bet she would be as clueless compared to most men. These boys are also pilots and been around machines everyday. I am sure most things about machines are common sense to them compared to white collar workers and especially folks with servants and maids.

Nah, its easy to see the quality of fights have deteriorated since the Mika/McGillis fight. I don't mind it as much, but the choreography in this episode was definitely the worst the series has shown so far =0\.

Sorry Akahiro but know that in the end Masahiro still considers you family. So that is how artificial gravity is generated and why Ahab waves can be detected. Ahab reactors produce gravity. Since Gjallarhorn is the only one allowed to produce them they have a scare resource monopoly. We got that Ahab technology was one of the reasons for the Calamity War from Mcgillis and Galileo. So it could be an economic war that went out of control. |

One thing i noticed is that parts and supplies are very limited. The mobile suits are few per ship and are very valueable because the gap between a good and decent mobile suit isn't as huge. It isn't like fully upgraded Freedom that can destroy 1000 mass production mobile suits and not get a single scratch. Just look at Barbatos that got soo damaged that it couldn't perform well just after 1 duel and 2 small skirmishes. Maybe that is one of the reasons there are few battles in this series so far.
