I am very excited.
I would have preferred an anime, but thinking about it, 20th Century Boys could possibly be better as live action. Multiple films is sweet, at least 20th Century Boys will still live on after the manga finishes. I think an anime series in the future is more possible now. Also, I'm assuming that each "time period" gets a film. I don't know how they would fit, though....

They need to make quite a lot of hours of film in order to cover the material from the manga.

This really is awesome.
However, yeah, like Matrim said, I feel like they could not do it correctly, because the suspense is in the way all the connections between everything is revealed using multiple timelines. I feel like it would be difficult to tell any complete story that fits in one movie if you jumped around enough. That story is just... yeah. Amazing, but I don't know how well it would work in that kind of medium.

What I meant was I wonder if they'll designate a movie to each of the *arcs* in the manga. Like Spoiler:

If you've read the manga, you'll know that a large chunk of content was cut and a few plots and consequences were changed.
But overall it was pretty good, the characters look and act really similar to the manga characters.

I knew that there was no way all 22 (24?) volumes could fit into 3 movies and was hoping that with whatever that was cut wouldn't affect the flow or structure too much (and who could keep track of all the various sub-plots?). If you thought it was good, I'll give it a shot then.
