2 VA from K-ON? the only one I recognize clearly from K-ON is azunyan which is voicing Kirino. Who is the other one?

Satomi Satou is the VA for kyousuke's "very normal" friend.

ah RITSU!

I didn't notice because from when she was talking with Kyousuke she's like not the one who I usually heard from Ritsu which is playful and energetic

Having a damn hard time convincing friends to watch this because of the title, lol...
Anyways, I sort of had high expectations because of all the hype but the 1st ep didn't let me down. Probably a keeper.
Why did this have so much hype to begin with anyways?

The light novels are quite popular in Japan, and the novel illustrator is also an animator, so it was felt for a long time that this was a show being groomed for an anime adaptation and that it was "just a matter of time". The hype in the English-speaking world is mostly an offshoot of that popularity in Japan.

He's Hiro Kanzaki, and you can see a list of production credits on his blog. He's done key animation for various episodes of various productions over the 6 years or so (as well as illustrations for various things, and apparently some music too).

I really like ANN's sub for Oreimo compared to the fansubs out there. Feels like they have a real writer editing/QCing.

Meruru might make it as a 4kids dub, as they seem to like licensing anime for little girls/lolicons. Well, if 4kids does it I guess it pretty much ruins it for the fansub crowd though.

You do know that streaming is anime's only chance to prevent a massive collapse in Japan right? I mean in the past few years anime has lost 100's of millions of dollars from the collapse in America.

ANN were really clever and put episode two up on their servers with the same URL as episode one, just with "02" instead of "01". Of course someone figured this out and downloaded and torrented the episode 20 hours or so before it aired in Japan. Great job on your security there, ANN!

what does this have to do with anything

are you trying to say ANN is part of a conspiracy to make the Japanese companies think streaming is too insecure to use and eventually go bankrupt?
